Okay, back to business. I'm really excited that the EUC Auction is getting going, the second EUC Trivia quiz is up *shameless plug*, and the Get to Know a Character is still rolling. Is the EUCNN still in progress? Where are we on that BultarSwan? Also, are there any other issues that need to be discussed that I may have overlooked?

 

If anyone of you need me, just let me know!

 

zarkinfrood I am really stuck with EUCNN. I will need more leadership-type help if things are to proceed, unfortunately.

I just wanted to get some feedback about the EUC Character of the Year Awards that we hosted last year, while making sure that we are good with moving forward with them again this year.

Last year we used this as a way to promote the EUC around the JCC by inviting JCC members from Lit, TV and Fanfic to join in. We would have promoted even more but I couldn't always find a place, like a social thread, to post the invites on every forum.

I'm thinking that a new category for this year could be 'Best Use of an Established Film Character in the EU" or something of the like. This would give us a platform to include characters like Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi by giving them their own section of the Awards.

So let me know. What worked, what didn't, what should we change, all that type of stuff.

I just found out Sinrebirth created a thread about favourite SW quotes.
Maybe we could create a thread in which people have to guess whose quote has been posted.
Example (just an easy one):
"Do or do not, there is no try"
=> Yoda
=> We could make a competition out of it or we could ask the person who quesses right to come up with another quote.

Just a thought. Might be stupid. Might already have existed without my knowledge.

 

Sounds good. The only thing I would have to add is that we should not do everything at once.

Unless someone has a problem with the idea I think you should do this whenever you are comfortable. If you wait for permission you might never get there

An idea:

If it doesn't exist already, I propose to make a thread in which we can only post Star Wars or Star Wars-related gifs.

 

Maybe EU related gifs?

 

EU related might be harder... but I do like that idea regardless. Gif threads are fun.

Perhaps theme it?
Either by character, book? Something along those lines?

 

Things/People/Places related to/being near/having the same universe as Wes Janson?

Another idea:
Create a threat in which people should post their top three (or top five?) of SW comic experience.
For example: The Avenger dropping out of Hyperspace in DE would my favourite moment number 1.

OK not really. The Senate is the place where members of the EUC effectively govern our community. It serves as an intermediary between users and the moderation staff, as well as allowing for individual voices to be heard. Here new events are discussed and, if approved of, implemented from. It is also the place where previous events and games are discussed, improved upon and organized for future use. There are various rules and procedures which are contained in the first post under our EUS Constitution, but I think that is it in a nutshell.
