ST The Falcon

The Falcon is quite a major 'character' in this movie , but I have to say I was a bit baffled about how it had ended up on Jaku , how Han lost it etc.
I'm not complaining in this case , I'm just wondering . there was some dialogue about various characters stealing it etc. but I didn't understand it .

so - do we know how Han lost it , who took it , how long its been there ? how come it's so easy for Rey to steal it ?
