As I come from a Aussie Rules state and not a Rugby State I've never even seen a 'sevens' or care to really. So yeah, was a little stunned! I've seen the movie, and I've even seen one of the guys from the AFL TV Footy show wearing that, but never thought anyone would actually wear it in public! It covers so little, and reveals so much! :p

And please don't call me pinky, I really don't like it. [face_plain]

She's actually gotten off light I think... seeing as she's an Australian intruding into NZ...

I wear pink because four years ago, I beat Breast Cancer .....simple as that ;)

As for invading, what? No one is allowed to visit New Zealand? I know plenty of Kiwis visit Australia ;) My brother spent his honeymoon in New Zealand, said it was a beautiful country and wants to go back as soon as he can. I know its on my 'bucket list'. You know, the list of things you do before you kick the bucket!! ;) :p

    Not sure...

    Top Gun.
American Indians / Borat / Duff Man.

Could we continue with the distinct lack of clothing and cultural insulting as we did with creating human totems and firedancing around statues throughout the Wellington CBD...

    Maori's
    Pro's:
    Lack of clothing
Cheap costumes though some handy homemade flax weaving would be required
    facepaint moko's
We can be some what offensive to all around
We can have a token Billy T James with a yellow... hmmm yes I'm thinking out loud here: how about Billy T's

wife beaters, yellow towel, mo's, headband / stubbies / jandels / steriotype maori laugh / drunk and disorderly would also fit the costume.

hmmm, I'll think about it more but originally I thought of Eagle vs Shark costumes but too hot and too much to make.

    Billy T's would be funny

Probably been done, but hell what hasn't!

Rach is thinking Pac-Man and the ghosts, i'm not sold unless you could make wicked costumes. Watching a Comic Con review at the mo, so will look out for decent costumes

That'd be classic, but without massive global costume (which wont get in the stadium these days...) it wouldn't be worth it.

No mass emails floating around yet?

    OH. MY. GOD.

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/4695947a10295.html

Lame that 30,000 were pre-sold. No wonder 8,500 sell out in 10mins. It must have been the same for the revious years. So why do they boast "35,000 sold out in 20mins!" etc... kinda false if you ask me.

He warned people not to buy tickets off internet site TradeMe or other scalped tickets because some people were trying to sell counterfeit tickets.

He said last year people travelled to Wellington only to be turned away at the gate when their tickets were found to be fake.

The tickets are printed with a warning that they are not to be onsold.

piff! I wonder though... perhaps trademe wont allow selling this year. None are up yet and there's no "ticket" section under sport etc

Ah well, I'm sure there'll be a way of selling the tickets if we have spares and our own mates don't need them.

Yeah there is always the prepaid tickets to sponsors, rugbly clubs, Wellington Season Tocket holders etc etc.

Pretty sure that 8,500 is the lowest number available to the general public though, last time was around 10,000 IIRC.

TradeMe will still allow them I'm sure. There are none up yet as TradeMe made a rule that you had to physically have the tickets before you could on sell them (you have to post a pic of teh actual tickets), so once tickets get sent out I imagine they'll start to turn up.

Now we just need a theme..... and to get a decent crew together. I know heaps of mates how missed out though
