By using mostly Classic Hollywood actors. Yeah I know a lot of the characters weren't created or look totally different at that time, but it's just for fun. Let's go with DC first.

    The Supporting Roles:

    Jor El-Richard Harris
    [IMG]

    Lara El-Deborah Kerr

One of the most talented actresses of that era. She would have no problem to play Superman's mom.

    Pa Kent-Henry Fonda
    [IMG]

    Martha Kent-Gloria Stewart
The old Rose in Titanic, I've watched her Invisible Man
    [IMG]

    Alfred-Peter Cushing
    [IMG]

    Lois-Viven Leigh

She would have no problem to play the role, while Lois might be too minor for such a great legend.

    Jimmy-Robert Walker
    [IMG]

    Perry White-Claude Rains

    The Villains

    Two-Face-Fredric March
    The best Dr. Jekyll
    [IMG]

    Catwoman-Hedy Lamarr
I've watched around 6-8 of her movies, she indeed was one of the most beautiful faces even in that era. Hathaway's Catwoman was inspired by her roles
    [IMG]

    Poison Ivy-Lizabeth Scott

One of the most remarkable Film Noir Star of the 40s, with a husky voice.

    Harley Quinn-Marilyn Monroe
    Would be a funny try
    [IMG]

    Sinestro-David Niven

He looks like the character so much
    [IMG]

    Ras' Al Ghul-Christopher Lee
Yeah he's the master of Nolan's Ras' Al Ghul...

    Talia Al Ghul-Merle Oberon
    [IMG]

    The Joker- Conrad Veidt
    [IMG]

    [IMG][IMG]
The appearance of the Joker was based on his The Man who Laughs.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Darkseid-Orson Welles
    [IMG]

    Brainiac-Yul Brynner

    Lex Luthor-Erich von Stroheim

A great german actor/director, perfect for the role

    General Zod-Marlon Brando

Yeah he was Superman's dad in the Reeve movies, but I think he suits a villain better
    [IMG]

    Faora-Alida Valli
She's the toughest beauty of that time, nobody would be better for Faora
    [IMG]

    The Heroes

    Green Arrow-Errol Flynn
    The Robin Hood
    [IMG]

    Green Lantern Hal Jordan-Gene Kelly
    [IMG]

    Barry Allen-Montgomery Clift
A great actor who was ruined by the accident
    [IMG]

    Aquaman-Buster Crabbe
He was a Olympic swimming Gold medalist and a handsome actor.

    Mera-Rhonda Fleming
A famous redhead in that era
    [IMG]

    Shazam-Guy Madison
    [IMG]

    Batman-Sean Connery
Batman was inspired by Doulgas Fairbanks Jr' Zorro and a B movie called "The Bat Whispers"

My pick is the first Bond
    [IMG]

    Superman-Gary Cooper
Yeah there were Kirk Alyn and Reeves at that time.

Superman was inspired by Fairbanks Jr. as well. Clark's name came from Gable, his character was inspired by Harold Lloyd and Cary Grant's character in Bring it up Baby!

My pick among the big stars. He's tall and tough enough for the Man of Steel
    [IMG]

    Wonder Woman-Maria Felix

The most difficult one to pick. There are many many legendary beauties in that era but few of them fit the role, until I found this, the Mexican legend actress. She is not just beautiful, but also tall and tough enough for the greatest superheroine.

She once played the famous La Monja Alférez

Slowpokeking, I kind have to call you out on casting Tarkin as Alfred. I'd be more inclined to cast him as either the Joker or the Riddler.

As bad as this thread is, some of the choices actually aren't terrible. I can actually see Leigh, Monroe, Niven, Lee, and Stroheim in those roles.

Sean Connery as Batman is ridiculous, though.

I know, other than Batman. I asked quite a few people before, they have quite different opinions for Sean Connery as Batman.

How many of these do you even know actually?

Sorry but when I started a thread because you and sinister were polluting others with non-stop idiocy, you replied you have the right to post where you want.

So, as Vivec correctly said, stop.

I was talking about the topic, not insulting any poster, I didn't tell you to stop doing anything either. THIS is the difference. I didn't say "NO, don't post here" but "You don't go to a thread not to discuss any topic but simply tell the thread poster to stop posting".

It's better to have one thread like this than having this stuff spread through other threads. I don't see the point in giving him a hard time about it.

Again if you don't like this thread, don't come in and it's not going to do anything to you. If you want to criticize the choice, welcome to do so but make sure you actually know the actor well.

It was not wise to simply attack someone's point/thread simply because you don't like them, and it was proved that my point was right quite a few times.

I don't have a problem with your thead. I'm actually fine with fancasting, I just know it's not popular on this boards. I considered making a similar thread myself some time ago, but never got around to it. I was actually supporting you.

Oh I was not talking about you, but the atmosphere. Sorry for the misquoting.

Of course, some of the choices were made for fun, such as Maggie Smith as Scarlet Witch, while I think it wouldn't be too bad.

Why? if you don't like it don't come into the thread to say so. The cast is done as well.
