I believe you forgot to mention someone...
~points at self~
Even better, two of 'em!
What's a meeting of Forums without a little refreshment?
*brings dessert tray*
Cake or death?
Ahem , I mean -
Coffee? Tea? Cookies?
I'll take a cookie...
*grabs a oatmeal raisin cookie and briefly scans it with a food sensor to make sure there is nothing that could negatively impact himself before chomping down on it with sweet deliciousness*
*watches as Trace's Cookies and Tea causes the RPF'ers to race to the bathroom en mass *
Nah, Yuul scanned and got rid of harmful affects lol
Okay, well now I have a question.
With the blockbuster annoucement a few minutes ago of a non - SW Fanfiction Forum coming, is this contest open to all fandom characters or Strictly Star Wars related?
Look at the bold
So when are we going to know who the writers are?
From the sounds of this:
About a week from when the thread was posted, if I understood it correctly.
Actually, thats incorrect TLI...
The writers will know that they're writers in a week...
But the non-writers won't know who they are until the contest is over...
This is to prevent favoritism and voting for writers "just b/c they're RPers"
I'd love to tell you alls who are all-star line up would be in a month, but alas I will have to wait!
Ah, okay. That makes sense, thanks for clarifying.
I thought we would know who all of our writers were, but whenever the contest came around, we wouldn't know who wrote what.
Thats what I thought too.
I was thinking the same. Well I guess this makes sense as the best way to keep the voting un-biased, but it shouldn't be too hard to tell which is which...just look for the fabulous integrated and relational posts and you'll find the RPF
I bet the Fanficers will be full of Mary Sues and Harry Stus!
*heads over to Hoopers to get some of Ktala's corebombs, solution to every Mary Sue attack!*
I actually prefer it that way, because it will limit favoritism even more. I am a patient man, so I can wait until the end of the contest to see who our writers were.
So, I have a question as to the way that the writing will be structured. Will the RPers write it in an IC-TAG-OOC type of post? Or will everyone write it in a sort of fan fic style? Or is that up to the individual contestant?
Then we shall triumph, together!
I love democracy! I love the Republic!
Wait, wrong speech?
Nem, I imagine it'll be in an IC-TAG system.
But then we would know which is from a Fanfic'er and which is from an RP'er. I would say everyone would just write it like fanfic.
Or make the fan ficcers write in RP format!
That sounds like a reasonable compromise!
It'll be just like an RPG post, minus IC/Tag. B/c exactly Jango, it will be easy to pick out the RPFers.
We will triumph though. I've got our four picked. Though I'm thinking about a last minute shakeup for one spot.
We should be informing the folks by the 7th, as well as putting out the prompt.
From there, they'll have three weeks to write..
Yeah...it would be kind of silly to have an arbitrary 'TAG: none' floating around at the end of your piece.
Loving the whole idea of this competition. RPers can write just as well as FanFiccers! We're just more social and less egocentric.
**Grins*..as she hands Mitth a speeder full of corebombs, and adds an extra box.
"These are Bouncing Betty bombs...for those SPECIAL cases..."
