The FF-UK South Discussion Thread

OK, just to clear up a few things.

1) The CR must be 18 or over. This is a requirement of the position from a legal stand point and is not negotiable.

2) The CR is not necessarily the head of the chapter. In fact many of them aren't. They are the liaison between the chapter and the fan force online.

I would suggest that if you want to pick a CR you should pick an organised person who can be online often enough. They dont have to be the founder of the chapter or the head of the chapter, just a person who you feel has the best interest in the future of the chapter and the members


For example, I post on FFUK every day if I can, but I'm not CR of FFLondon. I dont feel I am organised enough to arrange meets or get banners and websites organised. I do my best to keep London alive and to encourage others to visit, but thats about all.

Thats why Raj is CR, cos he is better at that sort of stuff, even though I'm around more then him

 

Flippin ell.... so much for having chill-out time before the fanfilm - its been a mad day had to rearrange most of the film - grrrrr.. and audition people all tomorrow...

Do any of them feel willing to step forward and put themselves up to be CR? It would then be a good idea to hava a poll etc...well you know, the usual.

I'm happy to continue with the organisational work within the chapter so apart from a name in colours and being our amabassdor to the world of Mods and Admins, they do not HAVE to do anything more.

 

Serena, Fizyk leaves next month.

Okay, update on the Salisbury meet. Neither Blade nor Moose wants to go to the event I was planning (A rock gig at the Art Centre. Blade thinks that the music will suck and moose doesn't want to be seen amidst a crowd of 15 year olds.), so I'm going to have to figure out something else.

Well me and Tom are meeting up next Wednesday, but there's only two of us. And our next bigish meet wont be until December...but thats been a bit of a flop interest-wise so far.

 

Oh, and Blade's 16 (Not 93, as his profile says).

Alright then, I'll try and organise another meet. Although me and Blade are meeting up on Wednesday in Southampton. Maybe I can organise a 3 person meetup for the RotS DVD release on Monday 31st.

 

You might consider trying to attend the Empire Day convention next month

I dont know how many of you could get there easily, but if its not too far you could always do a meet there.

I dont know of any other conventions around in the South area at the moment

 

I'm looking into going to that, but I haven't got the faintest idea how I would get there.

Well, me and Blade had an unofficial meet on Saturday, at the gig. However, moose was unable to attend, so the Salisbury meet is still not going as well as I hoped.

 

Yes...this does seem to have come to a bit of a grinding halt.

Well, we have the christmas party coming up, but I dont believe enough southerners are actually going yet

Me and Ant are still up for coming up for some bowling action, but sadly we don't count as fully-fledged Southern members due to our London allegiance (althoguh we do live in Kent), but if our presence encourages more poeple to come who do count as Southern members, then we'll be glad to have helped and it should be good fun none the less

 

Ah, I probably won't be able to make that, as around Christmas I'm usually in Newark.

Ok, well...I have had this idea. The north got their boards before they were official right? Well, if we ask to do the same we might get more members and consequently more meets. Or am I being stupid?

 

Serena, I think we got our boards prior to doing the needed three meets, in anticipation of completing the requirements. So it can't hurt to ask, and boards do help with awareness of the group
