    Like a Margarita? [face_dancing] :p

We had our first soccer aka football practice tonight. My daughter is playing goalie this year. She stopped 3 shots in the scrimage. Hopefully she'll do ok. :)

    Nope...

Goalie? Nice position, but you almost always get all the blame. ;)

Yup! She let one by on Saturday. :p

Because my life can never be dull the hunk of junk car died on me. I had to walk up hill both ways to get the kid from the bus stop! Really! (I also had to walk downhill both ways too :p)

    Yes, one too much :(

Walking IS good but uphills both ways is a pest. However, it is good for me.

I've also started going back to water aerobics 3 times a week. I'm trying to be good and start slowly unlike my usual proclivity to go all out, get injured and have to stop. :p

Uphill is more effective than downhill (weight, muscle training, etc.), but that doesn't mean that I like it. :p But I was told that I'll do this very soon for 21km - at least I hope it is more 'more or less' uphill. ;)

Water aerobis is a good start. Have you done it before? For how long? And why did you stop? :)

Yes I did do water aerobics before. In fact I taught it for 7 years and also trained other instructors. When I moved out to North Carolina I didn't have access to a pool and I also didn't want to teach. I had damaged my vocal cords from shouting and I just wanted a break. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to teaching again regularly. I don't mind being a substitute though.

As for uphill/downhill sometimes downhill is worse for me because you are using the muscles so differently. ;)

    Wow, even teaching it. :D
Maybe you just can participate in a normal course/class without any teaching?

Sure, but the time difference is working against it I guess. :(

For me I was very immersed [lol, water immersion] in evaluating instructors. It was 50% of my job. And when I see mistakes that could lead to injure I just can't sit back and allow them to do contraindicated movements. Sure, I could just take the class, do things my own way and go home but I'd still know that eventually the participants would wind up in their doctors office with a joint injury or even have an episode from a severe raise in blood pressure.

It just doesn't sit right with me. ;)

Ok, now I see what you mean. In some parts it is the same for me as well, although I try to step back and let do them their stuff their way (with some exceptions of course).

[face_laugh] And I thought you wanted to try doing sports without teaching... :p

But isn't it a great feeling to know that your muscles are still there? ;) :D

Yes well after today they are now filing suit for damages. [face_laugh]

    I went in for my interview and they had the 9:45am instructor call in sick and said "Hey, you teach it!". I was prepared for an interview NOT to audition. So I taught in my interview clothes and from the deck. Normally I teach in the water. :eek: 8-}

    The other goalie :p

We had such a nice surprise yesterday. My nephew who lives here called and my other nephew was in town and they wanted to see their old Aunt Jada. [face_dancing] :D We had lunch with them and then on the way home we visited the Great Dane Rescue and played with the big dogs. ;)

I'd suspect the dog hiding in the bushes took it. Looks like he (she?) has something to hide.

P.S. Hi, all, just dropped in for some refreshments. Feedng the cats reminded me that I was hungry too.

Photo-Knight, I think you're right! [face_idea] I did eventually find the "dohicky". ;) It was hiding under a dish towel. [face_frustrated]

And please do stop by again! :D We're always open. :p
