The FFUK London Fan Film?

I've seen this done in other FanForces so here goes:

Why dont we make a fan film? I know many of us on here have costumes and props (some of a very high standard) With our combined brain power I'm sure we can come up with a great story and script. I know how to do basic effects (lightsabers, blasters, alittle 3D.) We could use filmings as meets, and those who dont want to be seen on screen can work behind the scenes, cameramen/women etc. I would be happy to let people use my camera and software.

So what do you think? wanna see if we can pull this off?

 

I think one of the first things we should do is everyone tell us what costumes they have, that way we can start to encoporate those characters into the movie. I have a Jedi Costume

 

My missus has a Jedi costume and I have my Vader outfit allthough I look more like Dwarf Vader than Darth Vader.

 

I have an Indiana Jones costume and i'm from Wales.

So there's not much point me telling you this. Just thought i'd share anyway.

In case you wanted to do a franchise/forum crossover......

 

So thats 2 Jedi, a Vader and a...welsh indy... So maybe something order 66?

I've got a jedi costume. If I take off the robe, it doesn't look at good as I don't have a tunic, just a scarf I put in the middle which looks like one with the robe on. I'd have to be a youngling or something, considering my height and age.

I am making a anakin skywalker/ darth vader type dark jedi sort of costume, the robe is already complete but i have to finish the tunic and trousers. I also have a anakin gauntlet, and replica belt. This Fan Film idea sound great though!

 

I'm trying on my Jedi costume for this. I think I need some help. I probably wont be able to make a robe with sleeves, as I already have one without. I neeed help with the tunic part. So far, its a white plain school shirt, with a cream scarf over my shoulders. This looks like it's a tunic when I've got my robe on...kinda. Can any of you guys give me an idea of what to change/use intead with this part so it either looks better, or/and still looks like a tunic without my robe on?

 

Mic, when you see what I'm gonna do with mine just copy it.

 

If you get chance to come round ours after lazer quest, I can take your measurements and make you a tunic. If you want.

 

Me and JV are getting our Gi's (martial arts suits) next week, so they might work.

 

They're white, and have the Taekwon-Do logo on them Ell. I guess that could be covered by the robe.

I know a bit of 3d, have a greenscreen, camera, know basic 2d effects and stuff...no costumes though.

 

Cool, a green screen would be usefull for ships etc, if we're going with what I've dubed 'The Order 66 Cronicals' We'd need stuff on Stardestoryers etc.

 

hi, first time poster I came on tonight to try and gage interest in london fans pooling talent and resources to make a fan film. i myself have a camera (semi pro dv) and a pro tripod, thats about it but i can edit and own a mac also have access to a protools set up for the sound. Anyway do you guys meet up at all because I have a pretty cool idea which ive already started writing and should be done sometime soon

Ive got a DV camera, tripod, pinnacle studio 9 (editing software) and Adobe After Effects Pro 6.5 so to that effect were pretty sorted.

JV & Ell, no problems.

 

I've got a mini-dv camera, preaty crappy tripod, Premier, AE & C4D.
