Man, Kobe was trying to recreate his farewell game in game 2. Gonna try a couple different things. Let's see if putting him at the point calms him down some. Also, Barry has been... just a shade above useless in nearly every game so far. Limited minutes or no, he's better than that. He's wearing a suit to game 1. Maybe that'll light a fire under him.

    new World order

    PG: Kobe Bryant 05-06 (38 min) / Jason Kidd 02-03 (8 min) / Derek Fisher 13-14 (2 min)
    SG: Michael Jordan 88-89 (40 min) / Glen Rice 94-95 (6 min) / Manu Ginobili (2 min)
    SF: Billy Cunningham 69-70 (36 min) / Grant Hill 04-05 (12 min)
    PF: Larry Bird 84-85 (36 min) / Kevin McHale 86-87 (12 min)
    C: Moses Malone 78-79 (30 min) / Kevin Garnett 07-08 (18 min)

Good luck, @DarthTunick ! You might want to adjust your minute allocation, though. You're way short on total minutes assigned. There's 240 minutes to go around and you've only assigned 190.

Game one of the Semifinals. Series tied at 0-0 between new World order and Los Angeles Courtsiders
Game 1 is in Daytona Beach Florida

Moses Malone didn't come to play.

    He came to win.

Scoring 24 points in just 29 minutes would have been enough. Doing it on 9-for-14 shooting and 6-for-7 on free throws was a nice bonus. But grabbing 16 rebounds, including 6 on the offensive glass? That was just flexing his muscles.

That rebounding performance helped new World order grab a 55-44 edge on the boards, including 12-10 on the offensive glass, and overcome some hot outside shooting from the Los Angeles Courtsiders to take game one.

Malone wasn't a one-man show, though. new World order 18 points and 9 assists from Michael Jordan, 17 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds from Kobe Bryant, 13 points and 9 rebounds from Billy Cunningham, and 13 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds from Larry Bird, seemingly thriving in the Point Forward position.

The Courtsiders will be pleased with their outside shooting, a they hit 69.2% of their threes on the night. Tracy McGrady lead the way there, hitting three of his four attempts on his way to 19 points on the night - and, he added 8 assists and 4 rebounds. Andre Igoudala hit all three of his triples, helping him score 11 points in just 13 minutes off the bench. They'll also be pleased with the performances they got from Hakweem Olajuwan (20 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocks) and Magic Johnson (16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists). But, they'll be disappointed in a defensive effort that let new World order shoot 52.6% from the field, and in a quiet 9 points from Elgin Baylor.

The Final Score: new World order 121, Los Angles Courtsiders 108
    Full Play-by-Play
    Box Score

new World order leads the best-of-seven series 1-0.

Game one of the Semifinals. Series tied at 0-0 between ABSOLUTE UNITE and Game,Blouses
    Game 1 is in Chicago

There wasn't that much to separate these two teams on this night.

But a cold third quarter put ABSOLUTE UNIT in a hole they couldn't dig themselves out of. And Game,Blouses would go on to take game one on the road.

ABSOLUTE UNIT scored just once in an 8-minute span in the third quarter, allowing Game,Blouses to turn a 4-point lead into a 16-point lead. And, though they ended the third/started the fourth on a combined 9-0 run, that proved to be too large of a hill to climb in this one.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar lead the way for the Blouses, scoring 27 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and blocking 6 shots. Russel Westbrook added 16 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds. Kevin Durant and Wilt Chamberlain each scored a dozen points, and George Gervin scored 12 points in just 11 minutes off the bench.

LeBron James had an otherwise masterful night - 23 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists - marred by 6 turnovers. That was indicative of his team, as they committed 20 turnovers (compared to just 9 for Game,Blouses), helping them squander a 51-40 edge on the glass. John Stockton was particularly wasteful, turning it over 7 times. Karl Malone scored 16 points and added 7 assists and 6 rebounds, while Elton Brand scored 12 off the bench.

The Final Score: Game,Blouses 107. ABSOLUTE UNIT 98
    Full Play-by-Play
    Box Score

    Game,Blouses leads the best-of-seven series 1-0.

    @DarthTunick - any lineup changes?
@Wang Chi - looks like you did a call-up transaction for active/inactive. Can you call out who was activated/deactivated from your 12-man roster? Makes it easier for me if it's called out.

if not response, I'm going to consider myself free to sim game 2 tomorrow night.

Game two of the Semifinals. Series tied at 0-0 between new World order and Los Angeles Courtsiders
Game 2 is in Daytona Beach, Florida

They say you can't win a game a game in the first quarter, but you can lose a game there.

So, it wouldn't be accurate to say new World order won this game in the first quarter. But, it would seem you could say that the Los Angeles Courtsiders lost it there.

new World order went on a dominant 20-2 run in the first quarter, and never looked back. They'd lead by as many as 26 in the first half, and the Courtsiders were never closer than 15 in the 4th.

Both teams shot well, with the Courtsiders shooting an even 50% from the field and new World order shooting 52.8%. But new World order dominated on the glass, grabbing 15 more rebounds (53-38 edge) and 7 more on the offensive glass (17-10) to power them to victory.

Larry Bird lead the way, as the Hick from French Lick grabbed 11 rebounds (4 offensive) and dished out 6 assists to compliment his 24 points on a aizzling 8-for-11 shooting. Kobe Bryant added 24 points and 9 rebounds, while Moses Malone scored 11 points, and grabbed 15 rebounds - his nine offensive rebounds was just one fewer than the entire total for the Courtsiders.

Los Angeles will no doubt lament wasting phenomenal games from Magic Johnson and Elgin Baylor. Magic scored 19 points and dished out 11 assists, while Baylor scored 18, grabbed 14 rebounds, and handed out 6 assists, while also blocking 3 shots.

The series will now shift to Los Angeles, where the Courtsiders will have to hope some good home cooking - and the crowd at the Forum - can help them get back in the series.

The Final Score: new World order 117, Los Angles Courtsiders 101
    Full Play-by-Play
    Box Score

new World order leads the best-of-seven series 2-0.

just taking a moment to marvel in between sim games that the four guards starting in that series are Oscar, Magic, Michael, and Kobe. If you asked most people to name the top five guards of all time, those four make most lists, yes?

Game two of the Semifinals. Series is 1-0 in favor of Game,Blouses against ABSOLUTE UNIT
    Game 2 is in Chicago

John Stockton was not going to let his team go down 0-2 at home.

As the Fourth Quarter tightened, Stockton played his best ball of the night. With Game,Blouses pulling to within 1 point at 82-81, Stockton keyed a 12-2 run to help ABSOLUTE UNIT pull away and leave home with a split.

First, Stockton assisted on back-to-back possessions, feeding Sidney Moncrief and Scottie Pippen to extend the lead back to five. Stockton then split a pair of free throws, before feeding LeBron James to push the lead to 8. After Game,Blouses was finally able to find the bottom of the net, it was once again Stockton who would answer, this time with this shooting, scoring twice on feeds from James to push the lead to 11, and ABSOLUTE UNIT would never look back.

Stockton would end the game with 12 points and 13 assists, powering an offense that shot 51.2% from the field. James did a bit of everything, adding 19 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Karl Malone added 19 points and 8 rebounds, while DeAndre Jordan added 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Game,Blouses struggled from three, hitting just 2 of 9 triples, with Russel Westbrook shooting 0-for-3 from distance on an otherwise spectacular night where he scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and handed out 6 assists (though he also turned it over 5 times). Kevin Durant scored 18 points, while Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored 14 and grabbed 11 rebounds. Wilt Chamberlain had a fairly quiet night scoring just 9 points and grabbing only 6 rebounds, but he did block 6 shots.

Both teams will head to the Big Apple happy heading into game three. ABSOLUTE UNIT will be happy to have won the second game and be taking some momentum, while Game,Blouses will be happy to have one a game on the road and take home court advantage back to New York with them.

    Final Score: ABSOLUTE UNIT 103, Game,Blouses 94

Game three of the Semifinals. Series is at 2-0 in favor of new World order against Los Angeles Courtsiders
Game 3 is in Los Angeles, California

Elgin Baylor and Hakeem Olajuwan put the Los Angles Courtsiders on their backs. And, for one game, that was enough to power them to victory. We'll see if it's enough to swing the series.

The two combined for 50 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists, and 14 shots from the charity stripe - new World order as a team only had 17 shots. Baylor was dominant inside grabbing 11 rebounds to go with 28 points and 5 assists, while Olajuwan scored 22 and grabbed 9 rebounds.

Vince Carter added an impressive 16 points and 6 rebounds in just 18 minutes of action on a sizzling hot 6-for-8 shooting night, and Magic Johnson added 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists to help support the twin towers.

The game seemed to turn early in the fourth quarter. It took nearly four minutes for the Courtsiders to score in the fourth quarter, and in that span, new World order cut the lead to a single point. But Baylor grabbed two rebounds and scored two buckets in 47 seconds, and - supported by free throws from Olajwan and Magic - the lead blossomed back to nine, and would not be below five the rest of the game.

new World order got big games from Kobe Bryant (22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) and Moses Malone (14 points, 14 rebounds - 6 on the offensive glass). But, to close out the series, they'll need more offense from Larry Bird, who scored just 9 points and need 9 shots to get there - symbolic of a team that shot just 41.4% on the night, and missed 14 of their 19 attempts from deep.

They say a series doesn't start until the home team loses a game or you reach game seven. In that case, we're still waiting for this series to truly begin.

Final Score: Los Angeles Courtsiders 103, new World order 92
    Full Play-by-Play
    Box Score

new World order leads the Best-of-Seven Series 2-1.

Game Three of the Semifinals. The Series is tied at One Game a piece between Game,Blouses and ABSOLUTE UNIT
Game 3 is in New York City, New York

A friendly piece of advice for Game, Blouses - you might want to do something to box out DeAndre Jordan.

And, while that one sounds like a tall order, this one is going to sound impossible:

You might want to do something to limit LeBron James.

Jordan was an unstoppable beast on the boards. He grabbed 17 rebounds, helping his team to a commanding 56-44 edge on the glass. He had 5 offensive rebounds - as a team, Game,Blouses had only 8. And, to put icing on the cake, he also scored 12 points.

As to James ... he did a bit of everything. He scored - 23 points. He got others involved - dishing out 7 assists. He grabbed rebounds - 14 of them. He played defense - James often drew his assignment as Russel Westbrook, and limited him to 4-of-17 shooting. He got to the line - 12 times. And, most importantly, he got the win for his team, and took back home court advantage.

Westbrook wasn't the only member of Game,Blouses to struggle mightily from the field. Kevin Durant (6-for-18), Dwyane Wade (6-for-14), and Paul Pierce (1-for-4) all struggled to shoot on a night when the team shot just 42.0% from the field. Game,Blouses also fell in love with the three, taking 21 shots from distance, but the three didn't love them back as they hit just 5 of those (23.8%). They did get 17 points and 6 rebounds from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Durant and Westbrook each scored 13, with Durant adding 6 assists and 6 rebounds

    Final Score: ABSOLUTE UNIT 99, Game,Blouses 87
    Full Play-by-Play
    Box Score

ABSOLUTE UNIT leads the Best-of-Seven Series 2-1.
