The Fifth Installment of the 2004 Jedi Draft.

It?s that time again, time to start the 8th instalment of the now super-popular Jedi Draft series.

I have spoken with Darth-Horax, the worshiped creator of this game, and the usual creator of the threads, and he has given me his OK to start the thread myself, as his computer access is limited.

Well, as you all might have guessed, it?s time for the draft once more, and, as you all might have guessed, I will be the commissioner for the second time in a row, a feat not easily accomplished.

First off, let?s get all of this administration crap out of the way.

Allow me to pay the traditional homage to the winners of the last 7 drafts: Ghost_Jedi, Saber_Leader, Gaeri, Corran10584, Qui-Gon-Jinn2, GenMadine, GenMadine.

As the winner and runner-up of last draft, Ghost_Jedi and SecondBest, respectively, will have the top two picks in this draft, unless they decide to be a judge or want a different pick or something along those lines.

I will need 12 GMs and 3 judges (including me) to be signed up, and I?m sure a lot of you know that people get signed up fast for this sauce, so, put your name down.

It does not matter what order you sign up in, as the sign-up list is NOT the order that you will take your picks. Ghost and SecondBest will have the top two picks no matter what, unless, like I said, they don?t want them. If you don?t know how this whole thing works, just be patient, and it will be explained further down in my post.

Uhhh, let?s see, what else am I missing?

Oh, right, the fact that this draft was delayed for 1.5 months because of past behaviour.

The moderators of SWC are closely watching this instalment. So, just let me say that we all play this game to have fun. If you see a user make a sarcastic remark towards you or another user that offends you, PM either Strilo or Darth-Stryphe with your complaint, and let them handle it.

For those of you who weren?t here last draft, just do us all a favour and keep it off of the politics as well. Discuss only topics that are related to this game, and any friendly comments you may have, please.

If there are any questions about anything in this draft, PM the mods, because ignorance is no excuse. And, also, I?m aware that I was banned for a couple days last draft too, so I am also to blame for this hold up, and will be watching my own behaviour as well.

Anyways, sorry if that seems to a little harsh, but I want everyone to be able to come in here this time around and have fun, all of the time, and that requires no name-calling.

So, now that that?s over with, let me explain the rules of this draft for any of you n00bs who are new to the game, and also, the new changes for the veterans who will be playing again this time around.

Remember, that this explanation will be very brief, and if you should require further explanation, either wait until later when it will be explained much more clearly, or PM me with your questions.

So, firstly I will need 12 ?General Managers? and 3 judges to sign-up for this instalment. The sign up list looks as so:

So, as you see, I am a judge, Ghost, SecondBest, and Horax have dibs for three GM spots, because Ghost and SecondBest were the top two last draft, and Horax, the creator, will be participating from the comfort of his work computer, which he is fire walled behind.

Secondly, after the lists are filled up, I will randomly generate the drafting order, except Ghost and SecondBest are guaranteed first and second spot respectively.

Thirdly, the person who has the first pick (Ghost) picks his first Jedi/Sith, and we go down the list. Once the 12th person picks his/her Jedi, we start Round 2. In Round 2 the person in the 12th spot picks first, and we go down the list that way again, until we get to Ghost again. This repeats for rounds 3, 4, 5, and 6.

I think I can handle it. I have read the last couple of drafts(man the first couple drafts were very confusing) and I have done some research (always pick esteemed Councilman Coleman Trebor, the ever powerful Vergere, and the all knowing Yaddle before Yoda, Luke and Vader).

Hopefully my performance in the draft will have me proclaimed winner instead of NOOB extraordinaire.

So PadawanEmily want to trade after the second round?

By the way Burd when we get all the judges can we get a list of their top twelve Jedi and why they ranked that jedi there. This will help GM's grasp how the judges think of each era as well as give the order of drafting more overall importance.

Originally I wanted to judge this round, but you know what, I have the big old first overall pick, and I want the challenge of back-back picks, I should be able to get uber trump w/ that. So in other words:

Ghost Recon Force is back

I was hoping to retire, but seeing how I didn't win, I'll be back as GM for this draft.

You seem knowledgeable about previous drafts, I'm sure you can figure who I like from that. The other judges can do what they wish. One thing I am going to push for this draft though is for the judges to be adament about finishing their end of round/drafting synopsi, I like those.

SB, you can spell it both ways, but I am glad to see both you and Ghost back in action.
