half of my posting here consists of "I like this and that, too", some excited gibberish, a few "You're rights" and the occasional corrections and (lame) jokes
I'm not good at the analyzing-stuff

My point was, Amp is (supposed to be) much more serious than this place.

I have nothing new to add to this debate. Merging this forum is the worst idea since Greedo shooting first.

It's been broken for a while now and that state of affairs just became normal.

 

Sometimes times change; if the moderators are going to be gracious enough to offer you guys the chance to keep your community no matter where you go, you ought to be thankful that they're at least doing that.

 

if it's broken or not definitely lies in the eye of the beholder, as you can see by all the posts in here and the AC-Thread in Comms. both sides have valid points.
we could debate this topic to death, discuss it endlessly and never come to terms
but in the end, it isn't the decision of the people who like this place, it's the decision of the people who somehow found a fault in it

 

With all due respect to the mods--and I think I've been reasonable enough--I wish you guys would actually answer some of the questions that I posed, in this thread or the Comm thread (which seems completely abandoned now) instead of coming in and dropping a few cute lines.

 

This board will most likely stay, but will go back to being a Star Wars only music board. The rest of it will be in the JCC side (the Amphitheatre).

Then again, that's how it looked a few days ago.

Edit: There should be a mention or two in this week's Mod Squad update.

 

I see, so with a new mod to the board comes a new dark age for those who fought so hard to get this forum in the first place

And in this new crackdown on non-SW film music threads, why is the 700 posts FotR thread still open, and the Harry Potter thread, and the Basil Poledouris thread, and the Two Towers thread, and the Star Trek thread, and the what is your favourite cue (JW or Non-JW) thread, and the Home Alone 2 thread, and the Omen thread, and the Black Hawk Down thread, and the bagpipe thread, and the Finding Nemo trailer thread, and the favourite scores of 2002 thread, and the videogame thread?

These sort of threads have been around for 15 months, so why this problem all of a sudden, a problem which seems to be started by people who don't even come here!

 

And don't start with redundancy! There are very often threads in CT that greatly discuss mostly Prequel-stuff (AotC these days, of course), but nobody seems to care, and no AotC-regular complains - because CT doesn't steal anything from AotC
Does FMH steal something from Amp? Both forums worked perfectly fine. There were no complains about either forum up until the point where somebody found something to complain about.

This is just plain stupid, what is this going to accomplish. SO if we find something that is not completely star wars like they are going to move it into a forum that is not here. There is no reason for it. Music is music, yes star wars is completely kool, but when it comes to trashing a good thing is plain wrong. I see no or very little point in what is the complete picture here.

I always ask people this question:
Why fix something that is not broken?

Sithy I think your kind of right there, NOt to be rude, but sometimes admins can be nut cases.

 

I think having this revert to SW only and moving all non SW film music discussion to the Amphitheatre is a good compromise. It is certainly better than losing the forum completely. So let's make the best of this and not insult the mods and admins too much ok?
