Darkness fell across the faces of the assembled Jedi as they watched the last Yuuzhuan Vong worldship decend in flames over Coruscant. This was the end of the war, with the recapture of Coruscant, the future of the New Republic was no longer in doubt; the Vong fleets were fleeing the galaxy, as of the death of their warmaster, the unified fighting force had fractioned up, and with the sucessful jamming of yammosks they were no longer sucessful in battle. There were more battles to be won, more innocents would surely die in the withdrawl of the invasion fleets, and the galaxy would never be the same again, as the Vong's relentless advance had shaped the face of the galaxy as never before. The galaxy would never be the same as before the invasion, nor as the time of the Empire, nor the Old Republic. Luke, standing with his wife Mara, his sister Leia and his friend Han, with their children, Jaina, still scarred with her brush with the dark side, still missing her love, Jag Fel, lost in an undocumented battle in the Unknown Regions Jacen, the man who had saved the galaxy, grandson of Anakin Skywalker standing with the one-armed Hapan Jedi Tenal Ka, Lobacca, Wookie Jedi, leader at the battle of Kashykk. Clighal, Calamarian Jedi Healer, pale with the toils of war, Kyp Durron, standing slightly aside from the rest of the group, dark haired and with a haunted look across his face, knowing that Jaina had chosen Jag over him, knowing that with his death, there would be no going back. Lando Calrissian, youthful good looks lost, and flanked by two YVH-3 war droids, and Ben Skywalker, still only a child, maked by war, standing on the treshold of the capital of the galaxy, standing on the threshold of a new age for the galaxy. There was still rebuilding to be done, of the galaxy, and its order of society and protection. Now, in peace not in war, in rebuilding not in destroying, was the true time for a New Jedi Order.

I don't think Mara's really been that much of a Mary Sue, though. Not recently, at any rate. Corran's the only omniscent member of the cast.

 

The Jedi Master Luke Skywalker suprisingly was at the back of the hall. In his arms, his bueatiful son, Ben. Luke remembered Mara's last words, "Remember I love you, Luke. Look after Ben, the Vong are finished, do what you think is right."
Luke looked at the front of the hall. Zekk and Jaina held hands to the right while Tenel Ka and Jacen were on the left. Cighal was standing reciting the vows they repeated to each other. In the first row stood Han and Leia standing as the parents of Jaina and Jacen with old Peckhum as the guardian of Zekk. Although Tenel Ka's parents were no longer alive to see this day, Luke new his old friends would have been proud of their daughter. A few rows back sat Lando and his wife Tendra. A smile crept to Luke's face when he thought about how dissapointed Lando would be when he discovers how difficult it will be to sell his life-saving YVH droids now that the Vong threat was over. In another row, Luke saw Admiral Pelleon and Wedge with Wedge's wife Iella Antilles and their little ones. The rest of the room was filled with other Republic officials and Jedi Knights. Luke's new Jedi Council Members to one side; Kam Solusar, Saba Sebatyne, Tionne Solusar, Kenth Hammer, Streen, Tresini Lobi, Kirana Ti, Keyan Farlander, Kyle Katarn and Ganner Rhysode. Cighal and himself would also be part of the council. Luke felt himself being watched from behind and turned to the back of the hall. The Force rushed into him like he had never felt before in his entire life. His eyes showed him glowing figures. Ghosts. He saw Ben Kenobi, Master Yoda, his father Anakin Skywalker, Mara, his nephew Anakin, Corran, Ikrit, Daeshara'cor and every other fallen Jedi Knight of his order. He also saw other Jedi figures he did not recognise. A dark skinned bald man standing by Yoda and a grey haired Cerean. He did not see any of the dark Jedi like Brakkiss, Kueller or Kyp. He looked at the fallen Jedi and they all smiled. The happiness he saw in their faces filled his mind with joy, for those smiles showed him that at last the galaxy was truly safe.

 

The flames of death swept across the galaxy and all life was extinguished. Yet the most important question remained unanswered. Who were the Vong and what did they want? As Lord Shimrra himself looked upon the desolate wasteland that was once a galaxy he thought to himself- ?How many licks does it take to get to the center of the tootsie pop?? His question would not be answered. The Vong may never know?

thats a sample of some of the stupidity of my fanfic, but it will have serious plot and stuff just stupidity thrown in!!

 

Perhaps Lord Shimrra should ask Mr. Owl, because I don't think Mr. Turtle knows.

The blade once held by the Shamed One Tsavong Lah was buried to its hilt in the throne of Supreme Overlord Shimmra, his disguise peeling off to reveal a blue visage. The red glow of his eyes slowley fading.

And with that the Vong invasion fleet suddenly left and the New Republic rebuilt, only to be attacked by another invinceable foe a year later (but thats another story and another 20 books to buy......)
