I selected the Padres because they were forgotten in the selection of teams remaining.

    @tom said:

well let's just put it out there. teams that haven't been picked (not including defunct franchises):

    marlins - very thin.
expos/nationals - i guess you could say "pretty deep". a few worthy picks, the end of the round looks pretty bleak though.
brewers - a couple solid picks, but overall i'd say thin.
    rockies - very thin.
    rays - very thin.
royals - about half a good round, then pretty thin.
astros - the deepest team left imo, and most likely where we're going with the next round. lots of pitching, a couple worthy position players.

edit: i forgot angels. i would probably rate them with the royals where there's like half a pretty good round then nothing. actually maybe closer to the brewers with only a couple worthy picks.

    Where’s the Padres above?

We have the 25th round where we can bid for players not selected.

i think you have one too many utility (all) slots. i think there should be 7. also inty still needs to add johan santana to the spreadsheet in one of those slots. round 24 is just a normal round started by dp, then round 25 is the round where we pm our picks to inty.

    8 (starters) + 4 (uh) + 4 (sp) + 1 (rp) +1 (up) + 7 (ua) = 25

You fill 24/25 slots through traditional drafting. Round 25 is a bit of a free-for-all bonanza battle royale orgy type affair. That I'm a bit too excited for:

For the final round of the draft, there will be a "free for all" where any player not yet selected can be nabbed. This will be done via this method: All GMs PM me their choice. if no other GM picks your player, you get him. if any other GM picks the same player, that player is out of the game (cannot be added via free agency) and you send in another PM with a second choice. You continue doing this until either a) everyone has their players or b) five rounds have passed, at which time I will assign players of my choosing from the worst teams to play in Cleveland from my childhood.

Edit: Double Ninja'd and another error in the spreadsheet. Man, I'm the worst commish ever for a baseball draft game on these boards.

Right, going to bed, but there are a staggering amount of good #1 picks for next round.

If anyone wants it, make an offer, but it should involve a player swap as well, so I don't give up something for nothing...

I see two "no brainer" picks to go at #1 next round. And, TBH, I'm not sure which one I'd prefer.
