ST The FIRST Jedi Temple

I was not expecting anything like that to be mentioned, nevermind shown, in this movie!

Where do you think this will lead us?

 

it's obviously the planet and temple luke is at. hopefully the novel says what it's called.

 

Hopefully it leads to other Assassin's temples and Desmond will find them and-

Oh shoot wrong franchise.

 

One current theory is that the planet is called Lehon. It had some ancient temple on it.

 

Lehon is another name for Rakata Prime. Nothing is known about it in canon, but in Legends it was the home of the Rakata, not the Jedi. Tython is the homeworld of the Jedi in Legends.

The way it was constructed made it look pre-starflight, but you never know with Star Wars

 

I'm thinking it's Tython. Moraband was canonized as the Sith homeworld, so why not Tython as the Jedi homeworld?

 

But it's in the Unknown Regions.

one of these may be luke's planet. someone who has the novel needs to find the name. it also introduced the tfa planets

I just hope that the planet is Tython.

 

The movie didn't call the resistance base D'Qar. It was like Illeum or something. Kylo read Poe's mind and he said it aloud..

 

BB-8 said it first. And yeah, it was something like Illium...

Could Skellig possibly be D'Qar?

 

The Visual Dictionary identifies the planet where the Resistance base is as D'Quar, even though Illium is mentioned in the film by Kylo and BB-8.

 

d'qar is the resistance planet.

 

Could Illium be the star system?

 

Possibly.

 

Maz's castles was blown to bits. Luke's island retreat takes advantage of the island's landscape and the real Christian monastery graveyard.

 

We have seen the first Jedi temple. It is where Luke is at the end of the movie. There is absolutely zero reason for Han to say, "Luke was searching for the original Jedi temple" if the place where Luke is found at the end (with extremely old looking structures and monastery steps mind you) is not the original Jedi temple.

 

Had anyone been able to line up the holographic map in the film with the canon galaxy map? I'm guessing not as there are no images of the map from the movie floating around that I know of.

Well the map did show Luke's planet to be around where Rakata Prime was....but It might not work well. I mean the first jedi temple be on Rakata Prime? The inevitable kotor remake would need to explain tonns of stuff if this is true.

At least we know why the theme is named Jedi steppes.

I wish these planets were given more details with names in the movie. I will hopefully catch it again this week. I am excited they did mention the first Jedi Temple though. So much history and lore to go with Luke.

 

Then I have good news, it is now canon again! Looks like is was the only planet that was brought back from the old EU, but or what purpose? Its my favourite planet ever & I hope (maybe) it also might be a small step towards Disney making Revan's story Canon again too. Since the KOTOR games were so awesome & had an amazing story line to them. It deffinatley has a HUGE amount of fans, even those who aren't too familar with the EU stuff and just stick to the movies. But I'm not gonna get my hopes up
