Let's be honest. KenKenobi is actually going to be playing the Han Solo to Mrs. Maurer's Greedo.

Getting my first grade teacher compared to Greedo is my greatest achievement on these boards, pack it up

    Leia: "I love you!"
    Han: "I--"
    Vader: "Go!!!"

Scum and Villainy vs RX's Super Sweet Team That's Gonna PWN Some Fools (3-0)
    7. Doctor Aphra (prep) vs PROXY (prep)
Aphra's extensive experience with droids gives her the win here

    6. Black Krrsantan vs Trioculus (prep)
    Goodnight, sweet prince @};-

    9. Deliah Blue trumped with Sugi (FORFEIT) vs Tsavong Lah
    Warmaster gonna warmaster

Forever Evil vs Boring Conversation Anyway (1-2)
    7. SCORPIO (prep) vs Han Solo
Han is incredibly good and SCORPIO seems like more of a "big picture" strategist than a 1v1 fighter

    6. Captain Phasma vs Bo-Katan Kryze
I don't even know what BK offers as their #2, but I'll take it

    9. Grakkus the Hutt vs Captain Rex
Hutts are big and slow; Rex is good at shooting things.

The Unquestionably Questionable Quintet vs Mostly Mandalorian (1-2)
    7. Commander Cody vs Tsyr (prep)
Close, but I think the prep gives Tsyr enough to get the edge on Cody

    6. Gregor vs IG-88
    Straightforward

    9. K-2SO vs Mandalore the Ultimate
    See above

St Brutus's Secure Conference for Incurably Criminal GMs

OG Team vs Seismic Charges (1-2)
    7. Jas Emari vs Theron Shan (prep)
I don't know much about Jas, but I know she ain't beating Theron prepped.

    6. Fenn Rau vs Zam Wesell
Good match-up that really deserved args, imo. I like Fenn and think he's one tough scary dude (though maybe that's X-Wing bias...). Zam... I think of as being a little less tough and less scary. Plus Fenn has jetpack advantage in a location he can put it to good use.

    9. Bendak Starkiller (prep) vs RC-1207 Sev
Not seeing enough from Bendak to think he has much of a chance.

Porg One: A Shaq Wars Story vs Team Hufflepuff (2-1)
    7. Guri vs Cassian Andor
Two 5th round picks: Cassian was solid there, Guri was a steal

    6. Mezhan Kwaad (prep) vs Jagged Fel (prep)
Tough match, but I think Mezhan attacks on just too many axes for Jag to get her before she gets him

    9. RC-1138 Boss vs Rae Sloane
RepCom goes backward compatible this week [face_party]

This Team Makes Me Happy vs We're One with the Force. The Force is with Us (2-1)
    7. R2-D2 vs Krismo Sodi
Probably spent the most time thinking over this one. R2's wins usually come by catching people off-guard or by having some substantial advantage- rarely does he win a straight-up fight against someone. And Krismo seems like the straightforward warrior that wouldn't let R2 get that sort of advantage over him (his showing was pretty solid). But. This Utapua location with lots of catwalks and cliffs is just perfect for R2 to lead him on a chase around the hanger and maneuver so he can knock Krismo off the ledge.

    6. Kell Tainer vs Hera Syndulla
The one sey is glad isn't an SFD match :p I think Kell has substantial more experience for these kinds of fights and uses that to win here.

    9. Face Loran (prep) vs Ania Solo (prep)
Was really hoping for args here. I like Face, I like Ania, I think they're both pretty good with prep. Face has experience and planning advantage. Ania has skill and Solo Luck advantage. Going with Ania

Hmm. Remember Krismo has shown to be able to thrown down smoke grenades and disappear. R2 could be leading him a long the catwalks and then Krismo would disappear and appear again in front of him or something along those lines. I’m not a ninja, I don’t know how I’d do it.

    7. Doctor Aphra (prep) vs PROXY (prep)

If Proxy wasn't prepped I would have given this to Aphra, but he is and he kept up with Starkiller.

    6. Black Krrsantan vs Trioculus (prep) The Wookie is literally a monster.

    9. Deliah Blue trumped with Sugi (FORFEIT) vs Tsavong Lah

Forever Evil vs Boring Conversation Anyway (1-2)

    7. SCORPIO (prep) vs Han Solo
Han will fall ass backwards on the off switch. Seriously though. Han one on one, is one of the best IMO.

    6. Captain Phasma vs Bo-Katan Kryze
More feats for Bo and Phasma may be a killer but she has problems with better fighters.

    9. Grakkus the Hutt vs Captain Rex
    Not even close.

The Unquestionably Questionable Quintet vs Mostly Mandalorian (1-2)

    7. Commander Cody vs Tsyr (prep)
PREP seals this but with feats against Jedi it helps.

    6. Gregor vs IG-88

    9. K-2SO vs Mandalore the Ultimate

St Brutus's Secure Conference for Incurably Criminal GMs

OG Team vs Seismic Charges (1-2)

    7. Jas Emari vs Theron Shan (prep)
I felt that Theron would be one of the best characters in this draft with PREP. Jas was great on the Aftermath novels and would make this close even with Theron's PREP as she is a very skilled fighter hand to hand and with weapons. If she was PREP'd too I would've gone with her.

    6. Fenn Rau vs Zam Wesell
The Mandalorian training and the feats that Fenn has take this battle for him.

    9. Bendak Starkiller (prep) vs RC-1207 Sev
Again, more feats as a Republic Commando versus a guy who beat another guy with two fingers. So, Sev it is.

Porg One: A Shaq Wars Story vs Team Hufflepuff (2-1)

    7. Guri vs Cassian Andor
Guri is deadly and would eventually ware down Cassian.

    6. Mezhan Kwaad (prep) vs Jagged Fel (prep)
I like Jag, and with PREP I think he's very dangerous. I realize the Vong also has Prep, but Jag would Prep well.

    9. RC-1138 Boss vs Rae Sloane
Commando versus a Grand Admiral, pretty easy fight IMO.

This Team Makes Me Happy vs We're One with the Force. The Force is with Us (2-1)

    7. R2-D2 vs Krismo Sodi
R2 is a resourceful little guy. DE is right, in that, the location is great for him and his ability to move around and find a computer terminal for something.

    6. Kell Tainer vs Hera Syndulla
Kell is a commando and a ground soldier. This isn't Hera's type of fight.

    9. Face Loran (prep) vs Ania Solo (prep)

I like Ania in this as well. Her comics give good enough feats to win this.

Just a reminder that Mezhan's prep (Yuuzhan Vong weaponry + shaped bio-organisms) will whoop Jag's prep (loaned-out Mando armor), especially if you thought Jariah's prep (Yuuzhan Vong weaponry) would take out Fenn Shysa (equipped with Mando armor)

    7. Doctor Aphra (prep) vs PROXY (prep)
It's a fun prep vs prep battle, but I don't think the result is in doubt here.

    6. Black Krrsantan vs Trioculus (prep)
Trioculus uses the prep wisely - skips the battle, goes to Cedar Point.

    9. Deliah Blue trumped with Sugi (FORFEIT) vs Tsavong Lah
Tsavong Lah is no doubt disappointed to be facing a forfeit.

Forever Evil vs Boring Conversation Anyway (1-2)
    7. SCORPIO (prep) vs Han Solo
I wonder if SCORPIO told himself the odds?

    6. Captain Phasma vs Bo-Katan Kryze
Closer than the others made it sound - Phasma's escape from Starkiller is damn impressive, among some other things. and outshines the terrible showings she has on screen.

    9. Grakkus the Hutt vs Captain Rex
    Yeah, not in doubt.

The Unquestionably Questionable Quintet vs Mostly Mandalorian (1-2)
    7. Commander Cody vs Tsyr (prep)
Prep the other way and it swings the other way. But, lacking that, I'll go Tsyr.

    6. Gregor vs IG-88
    Meh

    9. K-2SO vs Mandalore the Ultimate
"The Captain Said I was going to lose"

St Brutus's Secure Conference for Incurably Criminal GMs

OG Team vs Seismic Charges (1-2)
    7. Jas Emari vs Theron Shan (prep)
Theron Shan is a fantastic use of prep in this draft. He'll have to work for it, but he'll get this one.

    6. Fenn Rau vs Zam Wesell
    Zam is simply outclassed here.

    9. Bendak Starkiller (prep) vs RC-1207 Sev
Would have liked arguments here, as it's unclear what Bendak gets from prep (and there have to be better options on your team, yes?), but I do think he gets enough, even against a top notch clone trooper.

Porg One: A Shaq Wars Story vs Team Hufflepuff (2-1)
    7. Guri vs Cassian Andor
I think Guri is probably a step out of Cassian's league at this point.

    6. Mezhan Kwaad (prep) vs Jagged Fel (prep)
Another really fun prep vs prep match, but Kwaad benefits from it so much. Especially with access to armor and fun stuff. Plus, I have a hard time not seeing Jagged Fel wasting at least some portion (and let's be honest, probably a significant portion) of his time just righting "Jagged + Jaina <3" all over a notebook like a high school student.

    9. RC-1138 Boss vs Rae Sloane

This Team Makes Me Happy vs We're One with the Force. The Force is with Us (2-1)
    7. R2-D2 vs Krismo Sodi
yeah. The other two hit on the major points in this one

    6. Kell Tainer vs Hera Syndulla
yeah. The other two hit on the major points in this one

    9. Face Loran (prep) vs Ania Solo (prep)
The flip side of the terrible "this deserves to go to three judges" non-judgment judgment from the judges. I'm saying "this is close enough it deserves to not be unanimous". Don't like it? Oh well.

The Unquestionably Questionable Quintet vs Mostly Mandalorian

    4. Calo Nord vs Gallandro

Calo Nord, one of the most famous bounty hunters of his time. Cool.

Meet Gallandro, through the eyes of Han Solo.

"Gallandro nearly laughed. Suddenly, he had spun, dropped into a half-crouch, drawn his blaster, and put four bolts dead center into each of four holotargets along the wall. He had straightened, his sidearm spinning twice around his finger and ending up in his holster, before most of the people in the room had grasped what he'd done:

"Another time, perhaps," Gallandro repeated quietly. He sketched a shallow bow to the women, the surgeon included, gathered the Reesbon second in by eye, and strode away, his steps carrying back to them loudly.

"It worked," sighed Fiolla. "But you shouldn't have traded digs with him, Solo. He seemed sort of-dangerous." Han gazed at the four holotargets registering perfect hits, then back at the departing Gallandro. He ignored Fiolla's vast understatement. Gallandro was far and away the most dangerous gunman Han had ever seen; faster, he was nearly certain, than Han himself."

    - Taken from Han's Revenge

Just a note to underscore how dangerous he is....

"Gallandro? Slick, you're talking about the guy who single-handedly hijacked the Quamar Messenger on her maiden run and took over that pirate's nest, Geedon V, all by himself. And he went to the gun against the Malorm family, drawing head bounty on all five of them. And no one has ever beaten the score he rolled up when he was flying a fighter with Marso's Demons. Besides which, he's the only man who ever forced the Assassins' Guild to default on a contract; he personally canceled half of their Elite Circle-one at a time-plus assorted journeymen and apprentices."

"I know, I know," Han said wearily, sitting down.

    - Taken from Han Solo and the Lost Legacy

    vs a Xim war droid.....

"Just then a robot appeared behind Gallandro, closing in on him, arms wide. Han never made a conscious decision, but pointed and shouted a warning. The gunman was too far away to have heard, but he saw Han's expression and understood. He spun and ducked instinctively. The robot just missed with a blow of enormous power. With an incredible display of agility and reflexes, Gallandro seized the arm and rode the robot's recoverybackswing, at the same time putting two quick shots into its head. Letting go, he was flung clear to land lightly and put a last bolt into the robot as it fell. Han watched the incident with awe. By far the most dangerous machine there was Gallandro. The gunman gave Han a sardonic bow' and a mocking grin, then, like a ghost, was gone again in the swirl of battle. The air was hot with the unleashed energies of the battle. With Skynx's and Badure's help, Chewbacca had squirmed free - of the fallen robot, while Hasti stood nervous guard. Taking back his bowcaster, the Wookiee made a quick motion toward the robot that had so narrowly missed nailing Han and barked a question.

"It was him, Gallandro," Han told his partner. "A fifty-, maybe sixty-meter tight-beam shot. " The Wookiee shook his head in bewilderment, mane flying."

    - Taken from Han Solo and the Lost Legacy

The Xim War Droids were pretty much withstanding everything that Han, Chewie and some other guys were using against them. Such as Rocket Launchers, Chewie's Bowcaster and other things. Yet Gallandro is taking them out with precise shots.

Here is more first hand perspective from Han....

"You tracked me all the way from the Corporate Sector to tell me that?" Chewbacca had his bowcaster aimed at Gallandro, but Han knew that even that was no guarantee against the man's incredible speed draw.

    - Taken from Han Solo and the Lost Legacy

    A great feat for speed.....

"They went deeper into the gloom of the cavernous vestibule, abandoned by the Dellaltians, who had wisely sought other refuge: Han didn't see a man appear to one side, weapon raised, but Gallandro caught the movement, drew, and fired all in the same instant."

    - Taken from Han Solo and the Lost Legacy

I saved the best for last, Gallandro beating Han Solo...no tricks, just one on one and Han moved to draw first but Gallandro still smoked him.

"You require chastening, Solo. Who do you think you are? Truth to tell, you're nothing but a commonplace outlaw. Your luck has run out: now, call the play! Han nodded, knowing Gallandro would if he didn't. "And this'll make you feel superior, right?" His hand blurred for his blaster, the best single play of his life. Their speeddraw mechanics were very different. Han's incorporated movements of shoulders and knees, a slight dipping, a partial twist. Gallandro's was ruthless economy, an explosion of every nerve and muscle that moved his right arm alone. When the blaster bolt slammed into his shoulder, Han's overwhelming reaction was surprise; some part of him had believed in his luck to the end. His own draw half-completed, his shot went into the floor."

    - Taken from Han Solo and the Lost Legacy

    8. Saw Gerrera vs BT-1

I won't transfer all the images, but I'd suggest giving this a read. I'll give some highlights.

He has blasters encased throughout his entire body. Even small blasters on his sides which are extremely powerful, taking down entire groups of opponents in one comic panel. He has taken out hordes of battle droids, and super battle droids, with ease all on his own. He has been shown using surface to surface missiles, as well as surface to air missiles (not sure how many he can hold, but I've not seen a single time where he ran out of ammo). He has a BIG flame thrower, one scan shows him throwing out a massive blast at least 20 feet long and 10 feet high (guessing based on the panel and stormtrooper height). The flamethrower can also be used to create massive smokescreens, doesn't impact him as he uses sensors to see. At least one of his blasters has a sniper scope, but even without it his aim seems amazing, at one point shooting a blaster rifle in half. He carries a deadly neurotoxin, when he released it on Vader's ship it pretty much immediately killed the occupants of the room. He also seems to be carrying grenades, at one point he launched a few down a hall to kill some stormtroopers. Like R2 he has boosters in his feet, powerful enough to carry his companion droid (0-0-0)

It would be pretty hard to find a character who enters a fight with more weaponry than BT-1, especially without prep, and not only is he armed to the circuits but he is also impressively capable of using them with deadly skill.

He is one of the cooler things to come out of the new Marvel comics IMHO.

    2. Boba Fett vs Mandalore the Indomitable

Fun fight, but give it to Boba. If this was Mandalore the Ultimate I would put up an argument, but I’ll pass for Indomitable.

    5. ARC Trooper Fives vs Cassus Fett

Highly capable ARC trooper vs Mandalore the Ultimate's right hand man and one of the most feared and effective Field Marshals in Mandalorian history? Fett personally led most of the engagements he participated in, he was always in the midst of action. Hard to compare experience vs experience, both have no shortage of combat time, but one is clearly on a higher level here....leading rather than following.

    Carth Onasi Vs Kal Skirita
Carth was a trained soldier who fought side by side with one of the greatest Jedi ever. Revan. He was able to infiltrate with a crew of small people the sith Academy On Korriban and save his son. On top of these feet’s he was also a high ranking republic officer. Kal is an older warrior, but I will let Carth’s skill stand against him and let you decide.

HK-47 was an assasin droid built and programmed by Revan when he was the still the dark lord of the Sith. He was programmed to assisinate Jedi, which should be impressive on its own. Jango on the other hand was a pretender who died at the blade of a Jedi.

    Canderous Ordo vs Hondo
Canderous Ordo was a mandalorian Warrior who had many feats under his belt. He fought against Revan during the Mandalorian wars and lead many troops into battle. Later in life he worked for Davik Kang on Taris. Eventually he would become Mandalore the Preserver. Hondo on the other hand is a pirate, although a good one. Not good enough to win a fight against Ordo.

You do know that AotC isn't Jango's only appearance, right?

I do. I will be doing a longer version later today most likely.

However when it comes to sources will Canon trump legends?

Not to me. I see Legends and Canon existing simultaneously and creating one uber-character.

Kal and Jango stomp, Ordo is good enough not to get duped by Hondo.

If I'm being drawn out by JKF calling Jango a pretender (he's the literal opposite - a prototype), I'll get something up.
