Going with Unquestionably Questionable Quintet. Skill/power levels seem fairly close between the squads, slight edge to RX, but there's a huge gulf in cohesion. Boba makes a great leader for bridging some Mandos, Clones, and bounty hunters and turning them into a decent squad, but on the other side... The 3 Vong aren't even cohesive (Lah hates Nom, Rapuung is Shamed, and Nom is out for himself) and they aren't working with a droid that impersonated Jeedai, a guy that has a mechanical canon grafted into him, and two combat droids. In a battle where both sides are close, cohesion can be key.

 

I'm going to agree with our esteemed leader. Someone with Boba's experience will game plan this team quite easily IMO. The clones will work with each other, the mandas will have respect for each other and the fight. Saw will fall into line to survive, he's vicious if nothing else.

 

I don't understand what either of those posts have to do with Trioculus vs Jar Jar

 

I mean one side is gonna be pissed off that their champion lost and accuse the other side of cheating, etc. So really, we're just judging the post 1v1 brawl

 

Hey all, sorry for the delay, but

Apparently you can't just wing round-robins and there are specific guidelines to follow...oops (sorry ken for disparaging your math skills earlier). So, we're stuck with a some cross-conference games or rematches and probably a faster jump to post-season. I lean cross games myself, but that's up to everyone. Either way it kind of messes up "schedule fairness." I'm sorry about all this- mainly just wanted to be transparent with everyone and see if anyone has any preferences or input.

Literally was gonna say the same thing, always loved a big tournament where a low-seed can get hot. Best example is @Skywalker_T-65 making the Jedi Draft Finals as an 8 seed (in a 10-player draft, and having to knock out a #1 seed). Stoked to get toppled for saying this!

I actually want to amend my proposal to jump into playoffs to allow conferences to cross and put the best teams from each conference on "opposite" sides of the bracket, so they can possibly meet in the final.

As such, I'd rather propose:

The Unquestionably Questionable Quintet (Smelt 5) vs. We're One with the Force. The Force is with Us (Brutus 4)
Winner Gets Boring Conversation Anyway (Smelt 1)

Scum and Villainy (Smelt 3) vs. This Team Makes Me Happy (Brutus 6)
Winner gets Seismic Charges (Brutus 2)

Those Winners Meet for the "top half" of the bracket

RX's Super Sweet Team That's Gonna PWN Some Fools (Smelt 4) vs. Team Hufflepuff (Brutus 5)
Winner gets Porg One: A Shaq Wars Story (Brutus 1)

Forever Evil (Smelt 6) vs. OG Team (Brutus 3)
Winner gets Mostly Mandalorian (Smelt 2)

Those winners meet for the "bottom half" of the bracket

And then if all "favorites" advance, the quarterfinals are
