Everyone liked the Episode I game. blackmyron is just not giving it credit for the whimsical masterpiece that it was :p

So where does this leave the status of the Angry Birds games? Will we be getting the widely anticipated Angry Birds Strike Back? How about Return of the Angry Birds? The Angry Menace? Attack of the Birds? Revenge of the Angry Birds? The Bird Wars?

I mean clearly there is huge potential for EA just with that license alone.

Does EA publish Obsidians games? I honestly aren't sure who handles Obsidians stuff now.

But if the answer is no, then that'll mean Obsidians Dark Times game is a no goer... unless they want to be sucked up by the EA monster and forced into another KOTOR2 scenario, only this time probably worse, given EA's track record for forcing games out quickly being even worse than LA's was.

No one publisher has ever handled Obsidian's stuff. AFAIK, they typically get approached by publishers to make games for them, then do so. Or they make their own stuff and then start pitching it to publishers.

So it's not impossible that EA could hire Obsidian to do something for them, but given they own BioWare, it's unlikely.

So that pretty much confirms their Dark Times game is dead in the water. :p

Suppose Disney could publish it themselves through Disney Interactive or whatever, though seems highly doubtful given EA have just handed them a boatload of money for the rights.

Not that no more Obsidian games is all bad, as at least it means they now will just focus on their own stuff, so might get their own next game out without any Star Wars distractions.

Wasn't EA trying to buy Lucasarts before the Disney sale?

EA: No Star Wars games before April 2014

Not unexpected, but still a downer. They could at least have one of their part-time interns whip up a 2D sidescroller. I would be happy with that.:p

I definitely recall hearing that, but I can't remember where. It was fairly recent... last year or so I think.

Ooo! Ooo! Do we guess by what letter of continuity it's gonna be called?

Is there an F? F-Canon? Wonderful all the uses of "F" in the English language...

"F-Canon" does seem to be the Filoni approach, more often than not. :p

Gungan Frontier seems like it would fit into Disney's plans to concentrate on social, mobile and casual games. Maybe a Farmville clone or something similar? But it seems strange that they would use the name of a 14 year old children's game that nobody in Disney's target demographics would even remember..

This seems the most likely scenario. And I don't get why they're sticking with Gungans. Couldn't they have used, say, Jawas? Something that doesn't have all the PT baggage?

Just returned from Abrams ST Into Darkness screening at my cinema... MIND BLOWN AWAY I loved it... I can in peace now await the Sequels in joy... if this movie is any indication of what's to come. Trailers and interviews were so misleading.. that lying bastard fooled all! Brilliant!

Totally off topic, but I have to ask. Any Andorians? I am still irritated that Abrams seems more interested in adding new aliens to the Enterprise crew instead of using established species like Andorians, Tellarites, or even more Vulcans!
