I think that's the first explicitly humorous moment we've had confirmed as being in the film. I didn't think there wouldn't be any, but it was a minor concern given what some fans are like, so that's a bit of a relief.

Dunno how accurate any of these voices really are, though, since they're... well... action figures. Though I am a bit disappointed that Finn is speaking with an American accent, since he is a stormtrooper defector and all.

 

So the Databank has apparently just updated with entries for a bunch of TFA stuff. Looks like avoiding spoilers is about to become a lot more difficult.

Actually, I don't think there's much if anything in here that hasn't been released already. Though there's confirmation that the mysterious Sarco Plank is indeed a non-oxygen-breathing alien, not a cyborg, which may be relevant to some of the earlier discussion about him and Weapon of a Jedi.

Even though that databank entry for Kylo Ren doesn't say anything about them, it's suddenly made me realise...

...that we're all probably overthinking this whole "Knights of Ren" reference.

It just struck me that it probably just means Kylo is in command of the First Order's dark warriors, which simply makes them his knights, hence the Knights of Ren, and voila, simple, doesn't need to be anything more complicated than that.

 

Wasn't the quote "used to be"? I think that is where the speculation came from. He has been described as a lone wolf and that Snoke is his master. So no other rens at all.

 

Well, the actual databank quote says:

A dark warrior strong with the Force, Kylo Ren commands First Order missions with a temper as fiery as his unconventional lightsaber.

So that sounds like it's his current position as of the film, and that he isn't a lone wolf (yet)?

EDIT: Actually, I know what I now want the Knights of Ren to mean!

I want "Knights of Ren" to be equivalent to "Vader's Fist", but them not just be stormtroopers, but the McQuarrie lightsaber-wielding stormtroopers!

A controversial figure in the FO. He upsets the FO and does stuff that is not what the FO should be doing. And that is the reason Finn defects.

I still have the impression that he is doing it for himself and is just using the forces of the FO for his own gains. Yes he commands but I think General Hux has the overall leadership. Think ANH Tarkin and Vader but with Kylo being much more angry and loose.

I've said before that this is fiercely logical. What did the OT have? Superweapons. What didn't the PT have? Superweapons. Which trilogy do people love, or i other words, which is the right Star Wars?
