Seriously. Anything with a character named Anakin Solo and a dead Wookiee is automatically out. Something like the Thrawn Trilogy has much better chances of "surviving".

Well, Anakin wouldn't be in Episode VII because he's dead.

 

Darth_Pevra was saying that the ST will make it so that Anakin Solo never existed.

 

A dead son is not a detail you can omit.

 

If the ST takes place 30+ years after the OT, there is no problem since Anakin is already dead.

 

So you think all the galaxy-shattering events and events having a huge impact on main characters should be ignored?

 

People are wanting the ST to omit two dead sons! And a dead wife!

The situation is set up to much more easily transition from NJO into Episode VII than Crucible into Episode VII. Especially if we don't expect perfect continuity regardless, as with pre-1999 EU and the prequels. Anakin Solo may not be mentioned, but that doesn't contradict his existence!

That said, I expect a post-saga reboot, but I find it interesting that the casting call theoretically meshes with Jacen and Jaina at the conclusion of The Unifying Force.

 

How do their ages match?

The women are late teens, and the men are in their twenties?

I also wonder how new fans who came into SW by way of the ST would react when reading ... idk ... the NJO.

If they're going to ignore what happens after NJO, why wouldn't they ignore NJO itself?

Jacen was aged because of his Force battle with Onimi.

But assuming that Episode VII acknowledged the NJO with Jacen and Jaina, I doubt they would be moving black holes in Episode VII.

Come on. It was Luke. I expect to see Luke doing something incredible like that.

 

Ben is going to flow-walk and convince Jacen at the asteroid in MZX32905 not to become a Sith and then they're both going to flow-walk back to Myrkr and save Anakin together and then Ben is going to disappear Marty McFly style and Episode VII starts.

 

The ST will be all about Ben's flow-walking, ultimately leading to Ben stopping the Kwa from training the Rakata.
