That's one rumor I dismissed out of hand since honestly I don't think even Disney would do something so cheesy and soap-opera-y.

 

I always viewed Mara's words as joking around. Also, I think "Farmboy" is Mara's pet name for Luke. I do know couples has pet names for each other. The problem is that the writers didn't have Luke give Mara a pet name. It could have been as simple as "Red".

 

But then people would confuse her with R5-D4.

 

Actually, I'm kinda glad this got cancelled. Not really sure why, called it a gut feeling if you will, but I don't mind that this isn't happening. 1313 on the other hand...

But whichever planet they're looking to recreate... United Arab Emirates? Could there be a cushiest, more convenient filming location on planet Earth? Could there possibly have been an easier choice? Well, I can't think of one.

No, desert is right. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, etc are basically giant artificial oases that make Vegas look natural.
