I am married to someone that would be very excited to see more WILLOW movies.
He could also probably tell me what this Howard the Duck thing is, but I'm not interested enough to ask.
Why do I sense a disturbing sexual undertone in that statement?
Do you really want to go there? this was probably the only post of me on TFN in years without a sexual undertone... really!
though I'd have nothing against a sexy young adult Elora Danan in Willow Sequels after all her mother was hot. Oh boy, see there it is again. Stop making me do it!
There were sequel novels to the Willow movie (Shadow Moon, Shadow Dawn, Shadow Star) And yes, a young adult Elora was the protagonist.
They were about as grimdark compared to the Willow movie, as the New Jedi Order novels were to Star Wars.
Because you're a disturbed young man. Who, apparently, as a thing for Warwick Davis.
know and love those.. very well written
I can vaguely remember liking them at the time- but it's been about a decade since I read them.
seriously? should I bother getting them? I'm thinking about it...
well if the Willow movie was the Hobbit, then these sequels are THE LORD OF THE RINGS definitely worth.. I got two paperback books for each novel in the trilogy and one hardcover even.
Just saw this and had to share!
We now know what the Disney-LFL films will look like, behold!
Considering that the movie came about because they couldn't secure the rights to The Hobbit but decided to make a movie anyways, there you go - three movies, coming up.
And for a Disney-Star Wars story, look no further than the film version of Eragon.
Eragon? Eragon sucked.. the books were ok, but not top of the art, but the movie sucked.
Oh, I never said it was good. Unless you watch it with Rifftrax (who gleefully point out every scene where it rips off Star Wars)
I wonder what will become of the EU that is NOT post-ROTJ (such as old republic era EU).
I also do wonder what's going on with Sadow...
Sadow will turn into Supersadow
So, Lawrence Kasdan. Or so it seems.
I'm hearing from people in the biz that it's pretty reliable info.
Worker at my local comic shop, who has Darth Maul and Vader tattoos said he "can't wait" for the new movies. Am I alone in dreading these movies? The SW films work better as a six part saga than the never ending story we'll get from Disney.
IX will be the end of The Story; after that the movies will just jump around and do whatever. I'm far more excited for that period.
rofl. I swear I was just thinking about that-my wife mentioned Willow, and I was like "serves the Tolkien estate right for not letting George make a version."
My relatives were shocked yesterday that I was pleased at the new Disney ownership -- they said that basically I was the first person they knew to react positively to it.
Stopped by the Disney store at the mall today. Wonder when they will get their first SW shipment and what it will be.
