I get that photoshop is cheaper and faster, but I really miss good artistry like these and the covers for many of the old Bantam books.

 

They're good paintings, but that's not Mark Hamill, it's Mark Hamill after the super-soldier serum.

 

Yeah, I would say the OT characters look about 10 years too young for the NJO era, but at least they aged.
By contrast, I love the old cover for I, Jedi; but background Luke looks friggin' sixteen.

Nice stills of Mark from Slipstream. Didn't expect to see him here. I thought he looked pretty cool in it. I wouldn't mind at all if Luke looked similar.

Totally agree about the cover arts. It's annoying aging basically didn't happen and the quality was pretty poor for many US versions.

Not exactly. There were rare examples of them living far past 100, but it's never suggested to be the norm, and the official word on the matter was simply "60 is the new 40".

Apparently, Harrison Ford is back on his feet already, since he attended the Expendables 3 premiere in LA without a crutch or anything to lean on. He's a tough man.
