I hate that crap. I finally got the chance to see the pt trilogy for the first time this weekend. After 18 years of serving. And I've got say aside from a few mistakes the pt trilogy was great! It was good to be back in the adventures and cannot wait for 7, but I'll have to admit I am part of that group of people who have been disappointed in some of Abrahms directing aspects. But we'll have to wait and see!

 

The thing I'm most worried about with Abramsis that he doesn't seem to respect the prequels as much as the director of any Star Wars movie should. That Jar Jar comment was not cool. Especially if you watch the Clone Wars, Jar Jar becomes semi-likable

 

Given the "geriatrics" comment, might I enquire how old you are, young zygote?

Look, if you hate the prequels and by extension the Clone Wars you hate MORE THAN HALF the saga. Therefore, you are not a real fan by any stretch of the imagination.

Reading the first few pages of the article from Vanity Fair and it isn't very well written. I have to agree w/ SoloBrothers that all these articles coming out rehashing and bashing on the prequels isn't very creative thinking or good writing. The prequels weren't good films and that is apparent, but I still enjoy them. Why do writers continue to drone on and on about the prequels. Write something new about the new star wars!

 

The best way to get bums on seats is to tell people that their misgivings re the PT were listened to. That's why.

 

Listen, I'm not much older than you, but I can say that that mentality is extremely immature. People can hate both the prequels and The Clone Wars and be real fans. People can hate just the prequels but like The Clone Wars or vice-versa and be real fans. People can hate the OT but love the prequels and/or The Clone Wars and be real fans. I've said this before, I'll say it again; it's not how much of Star Wars you love, it's how much you love the parts you love. If that's the PT, the OT, The Clone Wars, and Rebels? Cool. If it's just the OT? Equally valid. Star Wars is many things to many people, and so long as you love some part of it, some part that you respond to and that sets your imagination on fire, you're a real fan. It doesn't matter which part or how many parts, that's all down to the realm of personal preference.

Although ... I would say that "hating" isn't a very healthy attitude for people to have - and some people DO hate. However, that is another topic entirely.
