You claim my opinions in this Draft are discredited because I feel that John Elway, the Quarterback that I've grown up watching for most of my life, is the best ever? How about some of your moronic opinions? Such as Adalric Brandl being able to beat Ulic Qel-Droma? Perhaps no one here should listen to your comments.

Yes, I do feel Elway is the best; and I know I'm not the only person out there who feels that way. Does that mean I am right? No. IT'S AN OPINION!!

Elway has over 51,000 passing yards in his career, second only to Marino all time. But Elway wasn't just a passer, he also was a great scrambler and rusher. He had over 3,400 rushing yards in his career. Who had more wins that Elway? No one. Who had more 4th Quarter comebacks than Elway? No one. To know that no matter what the score was, if there was the time on the clock, the Broncos still had a chance to win, speaks of Elway's skill. And to say that Elway would have been nothing without Terrell Davis is just plain wrong. All the game's successful QB's have had star players around them: Troy Aikman had Emmitt Smith, Joe Montana had Roger Craig and Jerry Rice, Brett Favre had Dorsey Levens and Antonia Freeman. The main reason John Elway went 0-3 in his first couple Super Bowls was because Dan Reeves was a horrible coach. One Shanahan came in, John was able to get his rings.

I hate waiting on matches like this. We know what the judges will vote, but we'll wait anyways.

 

Madine, I don't think his statement about Elway was meant to be taken that seriously... ande besides, Elway is ridiculously skilled so its not like saying he's the best is without merit, even if you happen to disagree.

Saying someone is the "winningest" or has "the most passing yards" are things that can be answered as fact. But you saying that Corran was statistically and factually wrong when he said that John Elway is "the best" (which is a purely qualitative and subjective observation) is not the right thing to say. To quote a wise man, "We are all entitled to our own opinions, but we are not all entitled to our own facts." This is the second time that you've misunderstood an obvious statement, so unless I'm the one who's wrong here, I'm beginning to think that it's deliberate. After all, no one can be that aloof, right?

With that said, lets get back to the issues of the draft before the mods come to intervene on what they're really tired of-us being off topic.

 

Corran's post about Elway being the greatest was meant to be said sarcastically. He might believe it, but nonetheless, it was sarcastic.


Madine's post, was also sarcastic when he commented on Corran's first post.

They were both jokes.

Cut it out.
