    OOC: Grrr-reat post, Corellian?!!! Great post. :D

    IC: Admiral Salenger, Orbi?al PlanDef Golan II space defence platform.
    Location: Coruscant orbit, above the planetary shield.

    Salenger stood at a communications console, talking to the garrison officer in change of the HNN Skyhook now, on the other side of the globally spanned planetary shield.

    ?Thank you, Lieutenant. We will notify the Senate, as you say. PlanDef out.? He took his finger off the ?transmit? toggle, and nodded to the nearest seated operator to continue with his duties. ?Get me a line to someone in authority at the Galactic Senate Building.?

    ?Yes, Admiral.?

    While the senior officer stood by, waiting for the comm to go through, another operator inside the space platform?s vast command centre, could be overheard advising his supervisor, ?Sir, Azzameen?s shuttle has just returned from the Ursa run.?

    ?He has berths in the Senatorial district, doesn?t he? Advise him that a planetary shield is up. Be a shame to see him creamed all over it.?

    ?Yes, sir.?

    ?And make sure you get a passenger manifest.?

    ?Yes, sir. Big Score from Coruscant Planetary Defense, do you read??

    Salenger got the go ahead from his man, and pressed a finger to talk to the Senate Building.
    ?Hello. The Blue Guard, is it? This is Admiral Salenger at Planetary Defense. You are receiving an Inquisitor Nelf soon, who should be arriving by shuttle. He travels with the authority of the Emperor, and you will do nothing to obstruct him. Anyone who objects, you refer them to me.?

    Location Pantolomin

    ?Fifteen credits?? Theta echoed uncertainly. ?I can almost buy a toy ship for that!?

    Did he really just ask for 15 credits a day!!?? Man I must be more hung over than I thought Martino thought to himself.

    ?Did I say 15, I meant 15 thousand a day? Martino said trying to recover from his slip of the tongue.

    Taking another sip of his lukewarm beer Riggism could feel his stomach starting to churn due to lack of food.

    ?Also I want all details of whom I'm watching, type of ship, how many on board and what I am supposed to be looking for? Martino looked from Imperial to Imperial ?After all I want you to get your moneys worth, you know with the credit crunch and all? He finished with a slight shrug.

    Location: Pantolomin

    While the commander watched, the private investigator appeared to reconsider his quote.

    ?Did I say 15, I meant 15 thousand a day.?

    Theta almost choked; had this guy seen them coming? Well, no. Of course he hadn?t. The commander thought to himself as he reeled over the amount. No, we had to come and knock.

    ?Done. You can have three hundred up front, the rest when the job is complete.?

    ?Also I want all details of whom I'm watching, type of ship, how many on board and what I am supposed to be looking for.? The scruffy civilian looked from Theta to the stormtrooper, and back.
    ?After all I want you to get your moneys worth, you know with the credit crunch and all.?

    ?A probe droid would be cheaper.? The stormtrooper grumbled, but Theta silenced him with a glare.

    "The ship is a Firespray-class patrol ship, Mister Riggsim. Same kind as Boba Fett uses. Only one passenger, as far as we know; a female human sub-adult. Parked on the opposite beach of this island. You are looking for sign that an additional craft has joined her, or that her companions have come to pick her up."

    He stared into the man's eyes. "We will take care of the rest, Mister Riggsim."

    IC: Emi-to Shuri
    Location: Deep within the Great Temple on Yavin IV

    Torian bowed his head thoughtfully as he talked to those seated around the open table. Concurring and building on the short list Emi had thrown out for consideration he stated his determination that the Alliance should not act blindly, committing them to the formation of a better network of surveillance, more soft boots as it were.

    Emi-to exhaled and lifted her chin and glanced again to Torian as she heard his next words: ?As for complications?some of you are already aware of this but Vader had a son with Padme Amidala. He is safely hidden from his father for now.? He offered as he paced. ?I know some things about the Jedi and one of those is destiny. They strongly believe in it and it is something I will not interfere with either.?

    Emi tried not to cringe. She hadn?t wanted to discuss Luke and Anakin. The issue would become quite block-caste, the nuance and understandings missing. It was by no means a clean position for anyone! The fact remained, they were hiding a son from his father ? the reasons based on empirical evidence, much supposition, and ?feeling?. Under old Republic law, such a case heard before civil courts would certainly not tip well towards the Jedi. It was difficult for people to understand the abject cruelty of which a Sith was capable, because, simply put, people are basically good and expect others to be so as well.

    Therein lay the ?rub!? To teach that we are all of us capable of as great a cruelty as kindness was not an easy matter. Security and trust were concepts and conditions wholly undermined by experiencing and knowledge of fear and fear was a basic instinct of self-preservation.

    Emi looked quickly to Admiral Ackbar. They had agreed previously, that the information would remain restricted. Emi pursed her lips and watched as Torian continued around the table.

    He stopped again to face the hawkish General, ?I believe the Moffs are more powerful and have more resources at their fingertips to overthrow Vader, if indeed the Emperor is dead. The Moffs will stop at nothing to get rid of him.?

    General Yueh shifted in his seat and listened.

    ?We strike at weakness and avoid their strengths. If the Moffs concentrate their firepower on Coruscant then Vader must do the same.?

    He walked back over to his chair and sat down. He continued, ?As for now we need good intel. We need to contact Organa on Coruscant and find out what is really happening there now.? He turned to MonMothma, ?Can you make that happen??

    Replying in the affirmative, the calm Senator took personal responsibility. She did not lack for resolve, thought Emi.

    Admiral Ackbar, an enigma, was presenting a united front, upholding Torian?s revelation with calm rather than calling the General on the matter.

    The Master rose slowly, lifting her eyes to the members of the council.

    ?Firstly,? said Emi clearing her throat, ?some of you may not have had the opportunity of my introduction. Some of you may even believe, that the Jedi are a myth. Well, I assure you, if we are a myth, I certainly feel rather ragged for wear to be such a ? phantom! As Mr. Matrix and General Darkeyes will attest, our recent mission was a bit, taxing!?

    ?I am Counselor Master Jedi, Emi-to Shuri, late of Temple Coruscant and ? now of Yavin IV? by your most appreciated generosity. On behalf of our small enclave, I thank you!? Emi bowed finding her way to deal with the ugly possibility of guilt by association. She needed to present another perspective quickly to diminish the aspersions and concerns of trust in the revelation concerning Luke.

    ?I have been a member of the order since my bewildered parents left me at the Temple court at the age of 7. My Master took me as his apprenticed Padawan learner not long after. It was not typical, but then my Master was given to strong predilection. Padawan Skywalker will have the benefit of intensive and rigorous training from a very able Master. General Kenobi cannot come more highly recommended?. Ah?? Shuri tapp

    IC: Officer Magris Quill
    Yavin IV

    Magris was in-deep conversation with the Sergeant about the perimeter defense as he noted from over the Sergeant a very familiar rust-hair pony-tailed person as it was Padawan Nashtah with her long-robed arms holding onto a smaller figure of a Youngling as they came into view more clearly as they appeared out of the jungle of the Temple itself.

    As the Sergeant took point in-front of the two figures as Magris stood beside the Sergeant.

    ?Sing?.err, Padawan Nashtah, what are you doing out her alone with Master Shuri?s child?? he queried with a suspicious scowl.

    ?I am a Jedi, Sergeant, and Youngling Achilles is a Jedi, and Master Shuri, another Jedi, requested me to escort him to the Rebel base where his presence was requested by his Father, General Darkeyes,? she asserted

    ?I am in charge of base security, Padawan,? He stared daggers to the pale-skinned Jedi.

    ?You would do well to remember this in the future,? he continued.

    ?Perhaps, I should complete the task in your stead?.,? he announced with disdain.

    Nashtah bristled.

    ?No, Sergeant, Master Shuri requested me to complete the task and as such I will be the one completing it,?

    ?Hmpf,? the Sergeant announced, still blocking the forward motion of the two down the narrow path.

    The Anomid was silent through the interchange between the Sergeant and the Padawan Nashtah with the child in tow. He heard some mention of a name that the Sergeant said offhandedly which Magris gave the Padawan a curious gaze, it seems the sergeant doesn't trust of the Jedi? Or of the Padawan herself? He wasn't sure of that for the moment but this situation he was sure what to do before it moved to a place that is unnecessary.

    "Please forgive the intrusion, Padawan. The Sergeant meant well in protecting and upholding the security and within the mandate, if you would like an escort to where Consular Shuri is, we can easily provide to you without too much fuss." Magris said as he turned his masked-gaze towards the Sergeant.

    "I'm sure that's within our mandate, Sergeant Odievo is it not?" He said with enough buoyancy and weight in his speech to have his well-intentioned meaning sent.

    The Anomid gazed momentarily to the child in question. I didn't think Jedi could marry or was there more to this than meets the eye. More questions! This is most curious, he could not wait for the next time he would be in Master Shuri's presence to have his curiosities founded and what it means for the Jedi but also outside variables and where does it lay with the Alliance's principles and goals.

    So many factors, how does one keep track with it all and understand this multi-lateral relationship that exists between the Alliance and the Order of the Jedi.

    Something he would like to contemplate with the Jedi when the situation allows for it, he surmised.

    IC: Master Yoda, Padawans Roland and Fenlaka Zula, the Darth Unlucky.
    Location: Outside the Pantolomin star system

    Overdue, Mitch was.

    Strapped into the co-pilot?s seat on the Republic-class cruiser?s bridge, with Master Whie?s padawan seated behind him, Yoda began to gradually become aware that something was not right. Something apart from being an unwitting accomplice to the destruction of the Imperial Senate building.

    One claw clicked the lock on the safety webbing pinning him to the much taller chair, and the master looked slowly round, eyelids slitted as he sought to sense what was wrong.

    Mitch had called up from the engine room, saying the cloaking device was fixed, and that they were ready to go after Padawan Irisa. That had been ten minutes ago.
    The Twi?lek special agent should have been up here eight to nine minutes ago.
    He could really shift when he wanted to.

    ?Ceased emoting he has.? Yoda realised aloud.

    ?Master?? Roland leaned sideways in his chair behind Yoda?s so that he could glimpse the elfin grandmaster.

    ?Padawan,? Yoda clipped. ?take the controls you will. Airlocks and egress points, you will lock down all to only operate from the bridge, and a deck by deck scan you will run.?

    ?Yes, Master.? The twenty-something jedi student, did not know what was going on, as he so often did not since accompanying Master Yoda on this mission, but he knew how to follow orders.

    He left his chair and sat again in the pilots? chair to the right of Yoda?s, and quickly started tapping commands into the keypads that operated the 150-metre Consular-class vessel.

    The teacher and this charismatic, well, more headstrong than charismatic, twi?lek, operated on a level of shared awareness above that of a mere padawan. It was exciting, and dangerous.

    Yoda was worried. He knew without a doubt that his friend, he unconsciously dropped the ?former? and ?ex-? prefixes that he had been using since Coruscant, had found out about the Senate Building incident. Fen, is Agent Nifesta with you? He broadcast to the boy.

    No, Master. The twelve-year old?s padawan?s thoughts came back loud and clear. Full of childhood innocence. Mitch had done a wonderful job in bringing the lad back from the pit of depression he had been in after losing two masters.

    Find your father. Stay with him, and call me.

    Um, I?m not supposed to leave my cabin for another, uh, thirty-one minutes. New guideline: after waking, I?m supposed to have ?play with my toys? time for two standard timeparts.

    The boy deserved to know what was going on, but Yoda did not have to put the situation into spoken words. He allowed his recollection of the lone missile sailing off towards the Senate District, along with Nifesta?s intention to kill the Chosen One and lastly, the jedi master?s concern, to travel down the telepathic link: He needs you, Fen.

    He listened intently to his wife speak of the seriousness of the current situation in the Jedi ranks and that of Vader?s son. When she had finished speaking and before MonMothma could answer her question he spoke up.

    ?Again I must stress the sensitive nature of this information and that it not leave this room. Any breach and I will personally bury you in the jungles surrounding the base.?

    He continued, ?Time is of the essence. Let?s get some ears and eyes on the ground inside the Imperial City. As for future operations??

    The yeoman entered the conference room, walked directly to the General?s seat and handed him a datapad. Whispering so as Torian could only hear him, he stood up and walked back out of the conference room.

    With the new information in his hands, he changed his tone. ?Something has come to my attention that all of you should know. It seems that a recon team on the planet Khommite as discovered some evidence of possible Imperial action.?

    He plugged the datapad into the console on the table, bringing the information up for everyone to see.

    ?It seems they found extracurricular cloning on Khommite. A data file with the name NABOOSEN has been downloaded from the cloning lab. They found evidence of previous experimentations which I will not show here due to their graphic nature.?

    The acid in his stomach threaten to come up into his throat as he thought of the images he saw in the datapad.

    Location: Close to the Arrissa asteroid field

    Thaw was on the bridge as soon as the three star destroyers jumped in around the Daddy.

    ?Admiral, we are being hailed.? One of the grey-coveralled operators called up from the crew pit.

    Thaw did not answer just yet, or even look out the wraparound ports at any of the warships that he would have line-of-sight on. His attention was on the wall of floating rocks and spinning boulders, into which his jedi quarry had been taken.

    His crew continued reporting nevertheless, another identifying the ships for him. "Sir, telesponder confirms the ships as three of the five that were in planetary interface over Naboo: Stormhawk, Judicator and Chimaera.?

    ?Have we heard from Lieutenant Stobbs?? The admiral enquired without looking, arms crossed in front of him. He was referring to his aide and confidante, whom he had despatched into the asteroids with a platoon of spacetroopers, aboard the Gamma-class shuttle, Unidade Bravo.

    ?They traced the shuttle and those TIEs to a large asteroid several klicks into the field. The lieutenant was preparing to deploy his troopers.?

    Thaw knew that he was out-numbered, three to one, and that his ship was almost trapped between the newcomers and the field, and that would be a problem if escape were his first aim.
    As it was, he felt the capture of the jedi, and a probable lead to the whereabouts of the Charlotte?s Web to be tantalisingly close.

    ?We have to buy time for Unidade Bravo. Move the ?alert? fighters to cover their route into the asteroid field.?

    [image=http://www.geocities.com/yavin_base/thawondaddy.jpg]

    ?Yes, Admiral.?

    Thaw raised an eyebrow as he finally contemplated the SD off his vessel?s bow.
    ?Signal our reserves; advise them of our situation. Tactical, drop shields.?

    ?Sir?!?

    ?They will not fire upon an unshielded sister vessel.? The Admiral prophesied, watching the three squads of dagger-finned interceptors that had been deployed to track down what was spying on them, move out of their spiral formation, and towards the shifting, but still noticeable, path that had been blasted into the asteroid field.

    Location: Coruscant

    Leaving the shuttle, Stealf, in the normal, cliff-face parking bays, the Inquisitor refused to wait for the arranged Blue Guard escort, and strode on through the short corridors that eventually fed into the grounds around the Senate itself.

    The crimson-shelled G.C.P.D. officers, were around him in triangle formation, with Detective Lockley walking point, her R-88 Suppressor riot rifle held at port arms. All three wore their helmets with the X-visors for intimidation purposes, at the Inquisitor?s order.
    His features also hidden by his TIE pilot?s helm, Dak Trooper walked to the left of the group, scanning for unfriendlies.

    The first person to greet the group as they clattered along the brightly lit marble floor was a female holo-journalist with a ruddy face, and a brown ponytail over open collar of her white jumpsuit. It was not body-hugging, but had a wide, shiny yellow belt that accentuated her figure. He saw her eyeing up the rich dark maroon of his official zeyd-cloth robes.

    Yavinelf slowed and signalled Lockley to let the woman pass with her holo-cam.

    ?Hello there!? He greeted amiably, with a nod. He remembered that Trip looked good when she put her hair up into a ponytail.

    ?Greetings, Inquisitor. Keskia Moontrudger, Coruscant News 24; we saw the shuttle coming down; are you here to challenge Lord Vader for leadership of the Empire??

    ?My dear lady,? Nelf began smoothly, thinking she was rather well informed, ?my mandate is to serve the will of the Emperor, regardless of who holds the position. As long as He sits on the throne, I am His loyal servant.?

    ?Oh my?your, your-? She was staring at his amputated wrist in the dark green sling.

    ?Hand? Madam, you should have seen the other guy.? He quipped with a wry grin as a quartet of harried looking Blue Guard, in their flowing azure robes, feathered helmets and force pikes, swept through, nudging the reporter aside.

    ?Hey!? The civilian protested, as a Blue Guardsman took her arm and gently guided to the wall on the left.

    ?Inquisitor Nelf?? The lead greeter asked, stopping square in front of the injured darksider.

    ?Who is asking??

    ?Corporal Billings, sir.? Although his face was partially obscured by the helmet and noseguard, Yav could see that the corporal had a thin, almost rat-like face, and looked slightly tanned, as if he came from human stock from a tropical climate.

    ?I am he.? I am he? Nelf silently kicked himself for mangling the Basic there. What did he sound like?

    ?Sir. Uh, my lord.? The Blue Guard (BG) sounded breathless. ?Sorry for the tardiness; we expected you to land in the Plaza.?

    ?So did we.? Nelf admitted, half turning to indicate his parked tri-finned shuttle. ?The Theta-class have intelligent defensive systems that scan landing areas for signs of hostiles, to protect their passengers. Great selling point, I understand. So when ours scanned the area and gleefully announced ?Game On!?, we thought it prudent to find out what in Oseon it was talking about before landing.? The half-elf took a breath. ?Good job we did; you almost lost a roof-load of snipers." He paused. "You do know you've got snipers on the roofs surrounding the Square??

    ?Yes, my Lord. Imperial Army and STANG officers. Orders straight from the Emperor.?

    ?Well if they are staying there, you want to restrict the arrival of Theta's; accident waiting to happen.? Yav agreed as he stepped round the guard and continued walking, forcing Billings to turn and trot to keep up with him. ?So, anything I should know going in??

    Billings paused to consider what he should pass on. ?Use the stairs. And don't enter the Emperor's office without knocking. The Queen of Naboo was spotte

    The half-elf stood at the elaborate brown podium that was supposed to this Soobie?s station, according to the Blue Guard corporal, and brooded.

    Nelf realised that the security force was stretched, but he was miffed that they had only sent a corporal to greet him. The dark maroon robes had been a bit of a waste.

    His thoughts turned to the young medic to whom he had entrusted Trip. The being had strong mental powers. He was unsure if he was sensitive to the Force, but he had certainly been able to block the Inquisitor?s casual probes.

    He turned at Lockley?s approach, seeing his warped reflection in her helmet?s polarised X-visor. She was holding out a small square of yellow flimsi.

    Her filtered voice announced: ?There was someone in the Supreme Chancellor?s Office. We found this on the door.?

    Yavinelf took the note, finding one side tacky to the touch. ?You were told to guard the door, not-? He stopped as he read the message: Been blown out the window. Back in five minutes.

    He turned on Billings, zeyd billowing about him. One thing about the fabric; it really caught the air. ?Corporal, if Lord Vader had been blown out of a window, where would he go??

    ?Emergency room??

    ?He wasn?t that badly hurt.? The detective supplied, ?News footage captured him outside, helping the injured.?

    The weasel-faced Guard considered. ?Out Patients??

    The Inquisitor was thinking that the Chosen One was a Dark Lord of the Sith. They bounced well.

    ?Ah, heck with this.? Lockley complained aloud, drawing surprised glances from both Inquisitor and Corporal as she put a hand to the right side of her helmet. ?Central, this is Lockley, Special Unit Two. Am Code Seven at the Senate. Patch me through to their Security Control. Thanks. Yes, this is, yes. I need to know where... ? She looked up at her temporary superior. ?Wow. They must have been asked this a lot, sir. At last check, Grand Vizier Pestage, and Speaker Mas Ammeda were in the Executor?s office with Lord Vader and his Ledaren. Uh, they?ve lost the Union bird.?

    Nelf didn?t know what a ?Ledaren? was. Maybe it was their nickname for one of the Chosen One?s bits of fluff, Sabe or this Soobie character.

    He nodded his thanks to Kate, as she gave hers and signed off. ?Corporal. Do you know the way??

    ?Executor?s Office? Yes, my lord.? Billings signalled his men, and led the way back down the corridor to the nearest stairwell.

    Gathering his own team, and clapping the resourceful detective on the shoulder in thanks, Nelf followed.

    IC: Calis Bane formerly known as Sin
    Hyperspace

    Sin was making his way back to the medic room as he felt the pain in his skull returning which halted his progression to the med-bay room. Placing one hand against the wall as his breathe quickened as the pressure was building up again.

    His skull began to knead him again, he gritted his jaw and to hold off the incoming wave of pain from his mind. Not again. His mind was reeling as the images of Kalee flashed before him like a tribute to the damned. Of the so called Sophia apparition then seductively transforming into the Umbrus, this alone for Sin had someway affected him in a strange way and fascinated him that he couldn't see through the disguise that Umbrus put on.

    And Sin is a master of seeing-through disguises, it was his natural ability but somehow Umbrus nullified his ability, was it because he was too engrossed into his mission or was it something else......something close to his heart...perhaps?

    Something was forming in his mind....but it was like putting pieces of a broken mirror together and seeing a collage of disjointed reflections of himself and another......Lucrecia?

    There was something in Umbrus's disguise as little Sophia that had him entranced and now feeling there was a thread to his lost past he was trying to remember, something about Lucrecia that somehow was connected to his in-ability to uncover Umbrus's true form.

    Then a ghostly voice came to mind from a conversation that took place in a recent time.

    ?Speaking of Anakin, I fear I must correct you in regards to the Son of Suns project of our Master?s. It was a failure. The child never came to term. It died in its gestation tube sometime after your mishap........

    The child.......the mishap.....the experiments......the child......the love affair........Arbor.....Lucrecia....himself.....the child.....

    Now looking back at that conversation with Dantius, something was slightly off-center in that casual regard of the mentioning of the child. Was he telling the truth? Or he was stating the facts? Or even a much deeper picture that possibly even Sidious wasn't aware of perhaps?

    The child that Lucrecia was impregnated with just before the mishap and what happened to her afterward when he was experimented on, Sin could feel it there was a few key fragments to this incomplete puzzle.

    What the hell did you to me, Plagueis and Arbor since he was in charge of experimenting on him under Plagueis's command, after the scientist had gotten jealous of his personal relationship with Lucrecia.

    Sin recalled bits and pieces of Plagueis's instructions and lessons as the man known as Calis was slowly being erased litrally with his humanity. The experiments done to him before the beast had become a part of his anatomy and learning to use his body that was painful, from his skin being bio-engineered to indocrination by the Muun Master himself as part of his purification of Calis...

    ~~~The Spectral form of Darth Bane shimmered as the room darkened in the med-bay with the doors locked behind Sin. Those ignorant in the ways of the Force saw it as only a weapon or tool: It could strike out against a foe in a battle; it could levitate nearby objects and draw them into a waiting palm or fling them across a room. But these were mere wizard's tricks to one who understood its true power and potential.
    The Force was a part of all living things, and all living things were a part of the Force. It flowed through every being, every animal and creature, every tree and plant. The fundamental energies of life and death coursed through it, causing ripples in the very fabric of existence. ~~~
    Sohmer, seated in his command chair, experienced a certain amount of relief as the dopplering blue and grey star-lines appeared beyond the bridge windows, shortened, to be replaced with the brown orb streaked and dotted with gold.
    Coruscant. Imperial Centre.
    As the ship decelerated, and the sublights kicked in, the globe quickly grew before them, and the reflective cloud of particles surrounding the planet resolved into Imperial warships. The captain?s stomach tensed at the sight of them!
    ?All stop.? He commanded. ?Emergency deceleration. Navigation, plot escape routes from the system; no less than three.?
    ?Yes, sir.?
    ?As ordered.?
    ?ComScan, signal our contact aboard Executor that we have arrived in-system with two packages.?
    ?Yes, sir.?
    Sohmer, his face stern, removed the protective plastic cap from the worn red button on his right arm-rest, studied it. He had never used it, but from the state it was in, his predecessor had clearly been a fan. He held it down, and when he spoke now, his voice echoed throughout the Star Destroyer: ?This is the Captain. We have reached Imperial Centre. Commander Merch, Colonel Sin, my ready room on the bridge. Now.?
    He replaced the cap; didn?t want to hit it accidentally with his elbow one day, and disseminate un-intended information round the ship.
    The undercover intelligence officer, Corel, looked at his panel as the short message came through. Here. Two packages. KF.
    He sent back a single ping as acknowledgement, stood from his station, nodding at the Pit Lieutenant who had looked over at his movement, and climbed up from the pit to the command walkway, where he immediately sought out Admiral Ozzel.
    Standing to attention until the flag officer acknowledged his presence, he advised the man quietly: ?Admiral, the intelligence vessel we assigned to search out Emperor Palpatine's remains on Kalee, has arrived in-system. They report that they have two packages. Do you wish me to inform Lord Vader??
    Location Yavin base, The Basement
    Jon could not believe his ears, not only was Torian rambling on about some clone dossier that the Naboo had given he also claimed that the dossier said that Palpatine was going to be cloned and brought back to life and to top that off the Alliance were baby sitting there enemies son!!!
    What in all that was good and just was going on here!!!
    Jon just sat in stunned silence, he had been a little taken aback when his ideas for a black opps team had been seemingly vetoed in order of taking more measured steps. Which of course amounted to recon and gathering intelligence against the Empire, he was of course all in favour of gathering intelligence but they had to start being proactive in his mind and that meant starting a campaign of guerilla warfare.
    Of course that had all gone out of the window when Torian blurted out that they were baby sitting the Skywalker boy.
    Jon was struggling to understand all he was being told, Emi-to's words about the Jedi and there mortal enemies, the Sith. Those were words for far smarter men then he, Jon Matrix was a solider, plan and simple but what he did understand was that Vader's child could be turned into a weapon to strike back at his Father. What he knew of the force you could write on the back of a napkin but he was a righteous man, one that could not sit back while others suffered and right now he had to say something.
    ?Hold on let me get something straight here? Jon said without thinking about decorum or protocol ?Two thing have come to light today first it seems we have a weapon that can be used to against our enemies, I'm sure Skywalkers child can be trained into a formidable weapon of power that could tip the balance of this war but that's getting ahead of things?
    Jon took a moment to gather his breath and bearings.
    ?From the information brought to us by Senator Mothma and Captain Darklighter,? Jon nodded in both there direction ?we have been given a ligit target and if what General Darkeyes says about Palpatine being cloned its one we can not fail to act upon?
    Jon knew what he was about to say would be music to Yuchs ears
    ?We must organise a strike team and eradicate this clone facility and remove any possibility, however remote, of Palpatine being brought back to life? Jon said his heart beating faster than he ever thought possible ?We must act upon this now before its to late?
    OOC: I am ?pre-dating? part of my post to take place before General Torian?s and Matrix?s latest responses for the sake of making things a little easier for myself.
    IC: Mon Mothma, Admiral Ackbar, Biggs Darklighter
    Location: the Great Temple, Yavin IV
    Mon Mothma listened stoically as the Jedi Master, Emi-to Shuri relayed her thoughts on the impromptu revelation of the General of the recent voyage of Master Obi-wan Kenobi and his young apprenctice Luke Skywalker to an unnamed location and the recently discovered cloning facility which evidently has been created for the purpose of creating clones of the supposedly deceased Emperor Palpatine.
    From what the Jedi was expounding, it was clear that though certain inferences could be made, however, anything stated could only be conjecture. The ever-mysterious Sith?s intentions were unclear, their past shrouded in mysteries only brought up more questions with this recent discovery. However, the Jedi had an idea:
    ?An evidentiary incidence of medical research, expenditures, plans for facilities, or indeed the facilities themselves, or even incidences of experimentation; that would indicate the possible intent or transference! We clearly need an aggressive intelligence intitiative?..It is something we must give consideration to and certainly, even now, if this procedure is possible, it?s likely being initiated or already has been?..?
    Master Shuri looked to Mon Mothma, ?On Coruscant, do we have resources to search out such archived information??
    Mon tapped her fingers on the table gently as she pondered the question and after a moment of thought responded, beginning with a nod of the head.
    ?Certainly, Master Jedi, we do.?
    Standing up slowly, her hand resting on the table now, she gave further details about her answer:
    ?In fact, Master Shuri, we have set such a plan in motion for another discovery which we are anxious to make?.it is clear the Imperials have a secret base where their technological terrors are not only being created at but indeed their very inception on a research level is beginning,? she said, pursing her lips tentatively.
    ?We have required our agents to double their efforts in their attempt to find this base and indeed they are following the model which you suggested, going for seemingly innocuous details which might lead to its discovery.?
    Shifting her weight from one foot to another, she continue, her voice steady and firm:
    ?In addition, we have added directives that agents are to be on the lookout for anything that might lead us to information regarding the new technological leviathan that the Empire recently obtained from the Confederacy in their death throes.?
    Bending over so that her tall frame could manage, she pushed a few buttons on the nearby console and out from the central projection unit on the table a rough blue-green holographic image of a monstrous, moon-like space station popped up.
    ?It is evident from the Confederacy?s use of this ?Killing Moon? upon the Ursean satellite of Jupe that this is potentially the most destructive weapon ever created. We must locate a weakness to this?machine, and destroy it. It is not safe in the hands of any one power,? she added, bobbing her head in the affirmative.
    ?However, I digress?.,? she continued as she deactivated the holoprojector and with a descending whir it disappeared.
    ?We will add the directive to our agents that they are to search out any information regarding creation of cloning apparatuses which might lead to discovery of the true plans of the aforementioned facilities and perhaps even discover others which might exist in addition to the one the Naboo revealed to us,? she finished as she languidly sat down, allowing a moment for everyone to digest the information.
    Then looking in the direction of Admiral Ackbar, she nodded:
    ?General Ackbar???
    Standing up more deliberately, the Calamarian folded his hands behind his back, hiding his huge limbs from view.
    ?Thank you, Senator and Master Jedi,? he continued ceremoniously with a nod to the two w
    MonMothma?s command to restore order in the meeting was met with silence from everyone. Torian paused before standing again to answer everyone?s concern.
    Standing up one last time before the meeting was to be called to an end, he spoke.
    ?First of all, everyone in here is considered a weapon against the Empire or any other antagonist of the Alliance. Skywalker is only a boy but will soon grow into a man and learn the truth. How he acts when he finds out the truth is anyone?s guess. But I strongly believe that with his Master?s teachings, he will make the right decisions. As for the Jedi, they are on our side.? He looked over at his wife. Why wouldn?t they be, after all he shared a bond with the head of their Order here on Yavin IV. ?Questioning the loyalties of those Jedi on this base would be questioning my loyalty to all of you and the men and women of this rag-tag bunch.?
    He walked around the table to face Matrix. ?I know you are itching to get back into action and this new intel from Khommite will give you that opportunity. I want plans drawn up and resources mustered for an operation to destroy this cloning facility.?
    He turned back to MonMothma, ?The ex-Senator of the old Republic, will follow through on her end and get us the intelligence we need on all projects the Empire is currently working on or even thinking of.?
    He paced the floor and then looked up at the ceiling and back down at the group. Taking a deep breath, ?This is far from over. It is true that are greatest strength right now is our hidden base, but a star fighter in the hangar is safe, but that is not what a star fighter was made for. We have to take certain risks.?
    He sat back down, ?You all know your roles, now get going and give me results. Find me a worthy target outside of this Khommite business and we will show the Empire and the Galaxy that they can be beaten.?
    SSS, MOO, Sith_I-5, Corellian_Outrider, LDU in absentia ? you are sorely missed, Kalio_Dynkos, and MASTER-OF-EVIL[/Arnold]
    MEMO: You will note that I am now controlling characters previously in the hands and or originate by other writers. This brings up a very interesting and important issue concerning the portability of your intellectual property.
    Some of you have already grappled with the idea that characters and concepts which are currently the property of George Lucas can not be ported or ?locked? out of play and no indelible claim can be made other than by the owner and originator.
    What about original characters? There has been heated debated on the matter, however, considering this is an RPG, unless arranged for and in consultation and agreement of the GM, no character may be extracted ( you fill in the blank as to the manner) from the game unless said character is credibly dispatched in the course of plot. Bowing out of a game and or threatening to bow out certainly does not constitute a consultation and obviously not an agreement. Taking them from the game abruptly is a willful act to disrupt and or sabotage the game.
    So if you plan to whack, protect, port your character out of game, please make plans, craft credible plot, and do not use them as leverage or your arguments and claims are diminished.
    Being a derivative work, copyrights would be difficult to obtain so, caveat emptor!
    IC: Homicide Detective. Kol Phoenix
    Coruscant - 6th Precinct, Coruscant Municipal Police Department(CMPD)
    "I still had nothing to do with the murders, Detective." The age-old killer returned his wispy glare to Kol. The room was dark, and a small light illuminated the Kaster?s face, giving the illusion of a floating head.
    Kol was a statue of silence as he gave Kaster an emotionless visage.
    "You Mr.Kaster, have been stating your cooperation with us and yet you have been denying any involvement to the murders of 35 years ago." Kol shifted his body as he leaned down and faced the man.
    "I had nothing to do with those murders." He re-affirmed his story.
    Kol smiled a knowing smile and leaned in closer to the man's face.
    "We have your DNA and it matches, Mr. Kaster." Kol dropped the little detail to the spectacled-man.
    There was a momentary silence between them.
    "I think I need to talk to my attorney." And that was the end of the interview.
    With that Detective Phoenix left the interview room and silently nodded to his Cold Case partners to wrap this up.
    "Kol, here's the evidence bag as you requested for the rubbish tip." Detective Vasquez said as she handed him the bag from the case they just cracked and solved.
    The term rubbish tip meant it was ready to be placed into the 6th Precinct's evidence room where cold cases that are solved are placed into and usually never see the light of day unless in special circumstances.
    "Thanks Tiara. I'll catch up with you guys at Hell's Kitchen for the celebrations." He said with lop-sided grin on his bearded face.
    "We'll start the drinking after the food. Don't be too long skipper." She gave the veteran Detective a wink as she went the opposite direction.
    Kol turned to face the door out of the room and was back in the main office which was a little more quiet now with few officers and detectives about as it was now hitting evening.
    Problem number one is actually finding the physical evidence from the crime. The problem is ? in a lot of police agencies, what?s happened is, even though they should have kept any material relating to a murder case, they should have kept it forever because there?s no statute of limitations on murder, in reality there are all kinds of pressures on the detectives to get rid of stuff ? they get pressured on ?Hey, all this money we?re spending and all this space we?re using storing evidence.? And the bureaucracy keeps sending them paper: ?Can we destroy this? Can we destroy this??
    That?s what happened in the CMPD. They would keep sending detectives these sheets with lists of cases, indicating what year it was, and say, ?Please indicate if this evidence should be destroyed or kept?. You have to assume that in at least some cases, the detectives who worked on them moved on to other cases or retired and probably their supervisors kept getting these lists, and they could see the old case numbers coming up over and over and they probably signed off on some, saying, ?Yeah. Destroy it? because they didn?t want to see it any more. There are large numbers of cases where the evidence just isn?t available to us any more.
    Recollecting his thoughts about the evidence he held in his hand as he stepped under sign called the Evidence Room. A cold case means the investigation has come to a dead end, you have no new leads, you?ve interviewed everybody, you analyzed the crime scene, and you came up cold. A case can grow cold almost instantly. And it can be solved by going back years later.
    Kol was inside the vast room with cabinets and huge data storage's for cold cases and unsolved case files and at the end of the room was where the evidence was kept for their respective cases which Kol began to sift through the cabinet drawer to locate the Kaster Murder file.
    "19992002007.....19992002008....here we go." Kol brought up the file and opened the binde
    Standing on the bridge, Antan Azzameen shook his head to the situation. Lanes are almost at a standstill. Traffic congested and barely moving. They have schedules to keep, the cargo that they are carrying in the forward holds are perishable goods that need to be transferred into their clients hands as soon as possible. Their destination was right there, he could almost reach out and touch it: the glittering jewel of the galaxy.
    "Inform Coruscant Planetary Defence that we are complying and that protocols have been initiated to provide them with our cargo manifest and passenger list."
    * * * * * * * * * * * *
    It wasn't exactly from her nerves, there was something else as well. She could sense that something was different. She could not see outside the cabin for there were no windows. The whine of the engines was interrupted by a high pitched soft squeal and a series of thumps before a slight lurch and shudder indicated, they were slowing down to a complete stop. 'Is something amiss? Is this standard protocol now? How much has changed since I've last been here?'
    Then came an announcement from the Captain over the speakers:
    ["We are required to perform a security check before we are permitted further. Please bear with us for this inconvenience and we will be on our way shortly."]
    'Oooooooh great!' Ahsoka sarcastically commented in her head. 'Just what I need: more delays.' She sourly glared in the direction of the bridge as she wiggled against the seat into a more comfortable position. Four personnel wearing black uniforms with red trimming and linings, entered the cabin. Slowly they went to each passenger, one by one.
    'Of course being at the back row, you are the last one they get to.'
    The Barabel at the front stood up and protested in snarls and hisses. A testy species, though physically different, they kind of reminded her of the Nosaurian; Kerm Lightfoot.
    She sighed and removed the image from her mind. 'So close' She fidgeted in her seat as she waited, reassuring herself, that nothing in her ID had spurred or tripped security protocols, and with the very little traveling she?d done in the past few years, Ahsoka had found the Ursean security protocols to be stringent. She nodded to herself. ?Piece of cake! Hurry up and get it over with. Time is ticking!'
    Finally one of the officers arrived and greeted her. "Your Identification card, Miss." He asked as he knelt down and held a datapad out for her into which to insert her card. Fetching her wallet from her pocket, she removed the data card and slide it into the reader. The officer glanced at her and down at the information on the datapad, then back at her.
    "State your name, please."
    She glanced to the others in the hold to see if anyone else was paying attention, then leaned closer to the officer. She didn't want her voice to carry. "Ahsoka Vashee." she whispered.
    The officer's eye twitched as he checked the information on the screen and then looked back at her. "What business are you here for on Coruscant?"
    Feeling a pang of guilt rising inside her chest, she bit the inside of her cheek and then whispered, with a slight cough and a smile, "I am.. on family related business."
    The officer held a neutral gaze. "Define 'family related business'."
    "It is hard to talk about as someone in my family might have been
    Part 2: Bound
    As the turbo-lift ?thrumbed? beneath his feet, the Kiffu leaned back against the bulkhead to digest all that had just transpired. He replayed the scene over in his mind, looking for anything subtle that he might've missed the first time around. Never one to gossip, Vos pondered what he should divulge to the new Emperor, if anything? After THAT escapade, he was more than convinced that Amidala would soon bury herself beneath her own hubris.
    The only thing that stayed his hand was the gleaned knowledge of Vader?s awareness regarding her treachery.
    For Quinlan, that meant her antics were to be tolerated and thus he quickly re-directed his ire at Pestage. Vos sneered to himself at her lack of insight. She was so quick to lecture about diplomacy and etiquette but was ignorant to the fact that she was blinded by her own arrogance. Even as she chased him down the hall, Vos knew she still didn?t get it: ?Probably NEVER will?? He mused to himself as the lift descended with a smooth pin-point stop and the doors ?woooshed? open.
    The Ledaren made his way through the hassle of restricted traffic to the Ursean Embassy briefly wondering how the boy was getting on ? probably mischief - and he nodded in passing to the four ?Black Guard? who were stationed at the door of the great port cullus that fronted the formal entrance of the tower complex that was the Embassy. He turned to look out at the urban greensward, the large garden park across from the entrance, the shops of fine and exotic goods, restaurants and residential towers. The light warmed the night, and even the noise of traffic and life?s little endeavors took on a refined sort of elegance in the Embassy district. Vos smirked.
    Vos entered the reception area and was met almost immediately by a slender man who walked with an air of natural authority about him. The salt and peppered Officer had deeply-set, steel grey eyes and a thin set jaw. As he approached, Quinlan probed him but the man was polished and his thoughts were reserved. The attending steward asked if he might take the Sheyftain?s cloak. Quin chuckled.
    ?Grusse Seele, Ledaren? I am Admiral Colton, it is a pleasure to finally meet you,? said the Ursean as he extended and offered his right hand to the Kiffu. Vos shook his hand firmly and looked the man square in the eyes as he responded. ?Grusse Seele, Admiral... Jan tells me that you are a man of principle and he isn?t one to fawn much...?
    Colton smiled wryly and gestured for the Kiffu to head in the direction of the many storied, and colonnaded rotunda beyond the entrance. The distinct echo of many footsteps over-laid their conversation as the two walked. ?Did he now? Very good of my old friend," said Colton with a nod, "...and Captain di Toli owes me for the last sabac hand he lost!?
    Vos laughed out loud, ?I guess he still hasn?t fixed that ?tell-sign? of his yet.?
    ?And how are things with the Senate? How did you find Her Majesty Amidala?? asked the Admiral.
    "The ?Queen of hearts? was convinced that holding the Re's saber, also meant that she had a claim to the Throne, but thankfully di Toli was able to talk some sense into her."
    The Admiral stood with arms folded before him and raised a brow at the Ledaren?s comment, and then nodded to himself as he de
