There are a few games on my wishlist that are on sale for the first time I've seen, and the PoP franchise sale really makes me want to try it out, but I vowed not to splurge this summer and so far I've stuck to it.

I already have quite a few games I haven't played yet.

    Can I ask a favor?

Could someone "gift" me the Borderlands GOTY? If I buy it myself, it'll be a low violence version, and who wants that. I can pay back via PayPal.

    Done. ;)

Only came to about 9 bucks. Couldn't even get a McDonald's meal for that.

    Thank you very much!
9 NZD? That's just over 5?. They wanted 13 off me! That's borderline criminal

    also, what's a "based game"?

What do you mean? I've early ever heard that as part of the phrase 'turn based game' such as Civilization.

It's from "Thank you based god". So why not say "enjoy based game" :p.

    I'm really ticked.

I bought Portal 2 in the Steam Summer Sale for 33% off... three days later it went on sale for 50% off. >_<

That sucks. I would be ticked too.

I broke down and bought Duke Nukem Forever at 50% off on the Steam Summer Sale. I also picked up Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum for only $6.

    Lets see:

    AssCreed: Bro
    Red Faction Guerrilla
    Red Faction Armageddon
    Fable III
    Capsized
    Universe Sandbox

...and I think the total cost came to just over the normal NZ retail price for a console game.

And that's why I switched to PC gaming. :p

Yeah, but for all Steam's problems the sale every year is awesome.

Very tempted on Civ5, but I've got enough of a backlog right now from the Summer Sale.

Fallout New Vegas is $14.99 on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/22380/

Ridiculously good value for such a massive game.

I just bought the Quakecon pack off Steam. Every Id game and every Bethesda game for $69.99. All the Dooms, both modern Fallouts, Elder Scrolls 3 & 4, Brink, all the Quakes, Wolfensteins, etc... just a massive amount of games for a good price.

All the Painkiller games, at the crazy low price of £12.49 for the next 20 hours. It's definitely worth it, even at the non-offer price. I'm tempted to buy it for the Redemption add-on, even though I have all the others as a DVD pack. That's how good it it. Do I need to link to Yahtzee's review again, because I can?
