Awww... Looking it up is cheating... Yeah, it's from NeverWhere. I didn't think it was that hard though, but I also didn't think of the fact that a lot of people may not have heard of it...

On with the next quote... :)

    1. So, what is Neverwhere?

    2. You can do the next quote seeing as how you stumped us with the last one. Just take it easy on us 'low-brow' geeks. :D

Neverwhere is a book/mini series written by Neil Gaiman, the author of many comics and graphic novels in the DC: Vertigo series such as The Sandman, Books of Magic, Death, Black Orchid and Swampthing.

Neverwhere is a fantasy but set in the mid- 1990's, through the rabbit warren of sewers and underground railway systems beneath London. It has some of the best geek quotes ever in.

FA banned me from answering that quote :)

EDIT: FA can't think of another quote, so I will get the ball rolling again..

"Which did you like better, Jedi, or The Empire Strikes Back?"

Good Luck (Should be pretty easy)

"Clerks". Randall to Dante. Great show. ;)

"If Mr T walks up to me, I figure I can use the Jedi mind trick on him.
'I hear you've been telling these jokes about me!'
    'No you didn't!'
'Maybe I didn't! I'm gonna go beat up the fool that told me those lies!'"

    Back to the Future.

BTW, thanks for the info about Neverwhere, DS. I've read some of Neil Gaiman's work. He did an exceptionally good Matrix story on the official site.

'Do you know how to fight?'

'Yes. Do you know how to die?'

    The Crow: City of Angels.

BTW - I'm just letting you know that the last comment by me (guessing Eddie Murphy: Raw) was actually made by Soup, I obviously forgot to log off the computer and he didn't check it...

    Anyway, here's my quote...

    "... are there rocks ahead?"
"If there are, we all be dead!"
"No more rhymes now, I mean it!"
    "Anybody want a peanut?"

I hope that isn't too hard... I also don't know if it's very geeky, but it's all I could think of for the moment... :D

"Back on Phaelon, we discovered that you humans only use about ten percent of your brains, so we filled it all the way up with galactic starcharts to see what would happen."

"Oh, you don't feel a thing. The stasis room creates a static field of time. See, just as X-rays can't pass through lead, time cannot penetrate a stasis field. So, although you exist, you no longer exists in time, and for you time itself does not exist. You see, although you're still a mass, you are no longer an event in space-time, you are a non-event mass with a quantum probability of zero."

Shawshank Redemption (not really a geek film, Neech)

I beg to differ. Just because it's not Sci-Fi or it's considered for the Oscars doesn't mean it's not a geek film. Maybe you don't class it as one but I don't live by your Rule Book.

(Pre-emptive sorry to Kahli for obstructing her quote).

I have to agree with Neech.

    But anyway:

I believe HAL said that in 2001.

(and I love the Shawshank Redemption, I just don't believe straight dramas can really be classified as geek films)

It's Stephen King! Maybe you had better define your 'geek', Luigi.

    Sense and Sensibility, smart ass.
