Yeah he had a rough time of it from the news Ive read off and on. We can only hope that he will be able to write the others cause it would be a huge shame if this wonderful story was never finished.

Yeah, depression and anxiety issues, I believe. Hopefully, he gets better -- for his sake as well as the story's.

I think I'm officially giving up home that the manuscript will be delivered anytime soon, if ever.

 

As much as I want this book I want him to have his health more... That being said I wonder how much his health will actually impact the story? Will we see a huge differenc in style after this etc?

 

It's very hard to know, depression affects people in many ways.

But it may be that, at a general level, it could be suggested the impact is it prevents him writing. Whatever he writes he sees as worthless, if he's able to at all.

 

Love the books, want to see more.

It'd work exceptionally well on the big screen, as well, (think, Sherlock Holmes sequel) so the more progress made, the better.

I'd love to get excited about this, but if he's only 2/3 of the way through the manuscript, there's no way it'll be published in June. Even if he finishes it this weekend and turns it in Monday, there's still no way; the process just takes too long.

 

Ummm... Now I'm a little on edge.... Did this series need to head towards a large war? I'm hoping there's some sneaky creativity hidden away, something that'll make this quite different because, if any fantasy series ever needed to not be about war, it's this one. It's far better without it for me.

 

We ll see how it goes I guess. Im still waiting to see if Locke is who I been thinking he is. Its been too long since I read these 2 books.

 

Who do you think he is? Or do you mean his personality?

 

Im thinking he is The Heir of the Theran Throne. There are a bunch of clues to that which lead me to think that but its been way to long since Ive read them to pinpoint the references now.

 

As Jedi Ben pointed out in another thread, the release date has been changed yet again to next summer. On his blog, Lynch says not to take any date unless it comes from him.

So, more waiting. This isn;t even surprising anymore.
