I took photos on my phone. dropbox is amazing, I upload pics to dropbox and it drops the photos on my computer automatically. I made the mistake of trying to reload my comp with the ipad still plugged in and it corrupted my cd driver on my computer. i deleted the reg edit key and will be reloading my comp once the program is done erasing the harddrive for malware. pain in the rear. trying to get the comp to syn with the ipad but itunes does not recognize it. oh well- the ipad is nice

I also noticed on the microsoft support page, Itunes could be more at fault. I noticed it states it can corrupt the dvd file. Hmmm interesting, so apple software is not that friendly with windows for some reason. Gee I wonder if its because they're hoping you spend a large amount of money on their hard ware. It's a total scam, if they really want to make money they'll start focusing on those who don't want to spend like around 2000 just for an app. No way.

Apple and microsoft are competitors. So, yeah, apple probably wants everyone to buy a mac or a macbook.

well they're the bigger picture, not everyone wants a mac or have the money to spend. So yeah I really don't like apple because they don't play nice

I don't like Apple because their computers are 'foolproof,' i.e., you can't configure them yourself to meet your needs. I'm a DOS baby and it took me a few years to get used to 'Windows.' We called it: Windows, Icon, Mouse, Pointer or wimp for short. :p

hehehe yeah, my knit friends have this app but the way things are going, I'm going to have to find out what they did or use her mac computer to download, if it will. not sure if it will. On the other hand, I can still use acrobat reader so all is not lost and I'm liking the thought of not draging a five pound device down to my parents.

I use paypal and I received a scam email saying my credit card was removed. Instead of clicking on the link I went directly to the paypal site instead and what do you know. The card is still there, I clicked on the link in the email and my firewall immediately blocked the site saying there was a threat on the other end.

Just letting you know the steal your identity through paypal feelers are out and about again.

    Naughty little theives [face_not_talking]

Usually if your credit card expires then paypal sends you a letter asking you to update your information. They have never removed a card on me yet.

I've gotten that email as well. Also got one claiming to be a complaint from ebay regarding the item I had sold. I knew that one was a scam immediately because I have never offered anything for sale on ebay.

If any of you have taken out payday loans in the past, be adivsed that the scammers are out again trying to collect on supposedly bad payday loans. They are using a 'spoofed' phone number, won't send you any proof that you actually owe the money nor will they give you a fax number so you can fax documents proving you've paid it.

They call and call and call, from what I've heard, hoping that you will just give them your bank info to get the calls to stop. There was an article in the paper recently here.

I have to have a cardio stress test tomorrow morning. They just called to confirm my appt and to let me know what to do and what not to do. Light breakfast around 6 a.m., no caffiene!!! :_| I'll be groggy all day at work. The test takes 1 and a half hours.

The one with the your computer is slow ummm yeah found out that was a scam as well, they call claiming your computer is critical. Worst part was when they did call my computer was in need of formatting. I think some of the companies have something that downloads into your computer and screws it up on purpose. If I can't get rid of it through a removal program, I format the computer.

I made the mistake of giving in, I reported them to the CAF (canadian anti fraud) talked with someone and the calls stopped. Gee I think they finally got the point that I didn't want to bother with them anymore. The one tech kept saying he was a doctor and then started making sexual harrassment remarks. What the.... I had to change my credit card number because of it.

Other times I think they randomly go through the phone book. I know someone who doesn't own a computer and received a call to say her non existant computer was slow.

Now if it's a number I dont recognize, I let the voice mail get it. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

I do the same, in fact, unless it's my parents or one of my siblings, I rarely pick up the phone at all.

Thankfully pay day loans are illegal in North Carolina and have been for years, so nobody has tried that particular scam here.

It was painful but I forced myself to finish the sock and as promised here's a picture. It's wet so the colors look far darker. Just finished washing it now it's lying flat.

    Nice sock! :D

Sami I had to do a thallium stress test back in 2005 and there wasn't much to it. Of course I'm not a coffee drinker so I didn't have to worry much about the no caffeine part. :p

Those socks look very nice, Falcon, you do good work!

Well, I survived the stress test. Guess it wouldn't have been so bad if the ultrasound tech had been able to see my heart without the dye injection. She couldn't so they had to start an IV and inject the dye. Almost passed out on the treadmill, tho. Boy, am I glad this is over! My heart is fine.

    Hi, Mauly! Welcome back!!

    Hey all!

Doing alright. For the most part I'm well past cravings, but still don't have much in the kitchen until we get paid and can restock. Then maybe I can get away from so much bread I've been getting into these past few weeks.
