Sweet! Congrats @Adalia-Durron! I hope he enjoys the experience and does well. :D

    Yep, pretty much.
*leans back and reclines her recliner for more comfort*

Keep going at that rate, we'll run out of members just from attrition and OLD old age! Course what do I care, I make the cut either way. [face_dancing]

Those that weren't so good probably got lost in the Morgue...or just walks out the front door. ...same difference.[face_dunno]

One of my geriatrics refuses to take her pills. She tries to palm them, pretends to take them, wraps them in tissues, tries to pocket them...ugh.

    *startles awake from her nap*

Wasn't MY fault you all let me kill the thread! Geriatric Ward or not, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be thrilled if I just sat here and talked to myself. :p

*tosses a hard candy to @Ananta Chetan to practice her aim*

That's gotta be frustrating, @mrsvos. Whomever's issuing out the meds has to stand there and watch that they actually take it before they can continue their rounds, huh?

Turns to see what looks like Luke Skywalker in his twilight years attempting to stand alone in the corridor.

I know I'm getting older when I have to google new slang or acronyms. "It's lit" was something I didn't pick up right away.

Lit didn't take too long to figure out (and I even avoided setting anything on fire, too). When I heard my Millennial co-worker say "that's so Gucci" I realized how behind on the new slang I was. :p

I keep up with most the teen talk having an 18 year old in the house. My husband gives me a strange look when I use it but my son thinks its cool his mum keeps up.

Yeah, I suspect as our little one gets older, we'll start picking up odd bits here and there from him.

Yeah, I will lose it all when he leaves home, but I don't see that for about 5 years at least!!! He's at his Sisters place right now House sitting and he loves that, a bit of freedom away from home. He's got his computer and a Queen sized bed set up for him there, but he doesn't want to live with them (shes asked) as he is sure she will push him around (she does). They have a four bedroom 2 bathroom home 45 mins from the City, he goes there to care for her chickens and collect their eggs.

I'm enjoying the winter, I never even wear winter clothes and keep complaining about the heater setting in the house. I'm still traumatized from when we had no power after the hurricane.

We had no power for over 12 hours yesterday in 42C (107.6F) heat! Was really worried for my pets, birds and guinea pigs. I kept hosing down the cages and putting water in there for them. Thankfully they are ok.

    Ewww! Oh that's horrible!

I remember one summer here in Texas that was a record breaker (number of 100+F days in a row) and power outages. Very unpleasant, to say the least. And dangerous, too. You'll hear about people hospitalized or killed from the heat.

I hope they're able to keep the power up and running more steadily for you all.

There were two ambulances in our street yesterday, no idea what happened but as we had no power I am almost sure it was heat related. It's going back up again on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
