What does 'dutch' mean. I mean, I know what going 'commando' means, but going 'dutch'?

Dutch means the lady pays for herself, so she doesn't feel like she owes the man anything.
Kind of like a test date or a friend date.
Each pays for themselves.

Heh, yet another reason I'm glad we don't have cable.

 

Us neither. I'm just talking the major 4 and PBS.

 

We had to get rid of our cable earlier this year. It was too expensive. Now we just buy the shows we like on DVD, much cheaper, and no commercials to boot!



I never got into the whole Spongebob craze, I didn't see what was so cool about a character who looked like a sponge and wore pants.

 

Mike, you never replied after you came back from your love fest, whether or not you were going to go see HSM3 with me.

 

I'll never forget the look of horror on my daughter's face
when another kid told her they were only allowed to watch PBS.

 

What? HSM3? I never agreed to that!

It's not surprising that you missed it.

Wife and daughter went on a girls afternoon out without me, and then told me it was very good.

 

He and the wifie were having a 12th honeymoon.

 

That doesn't mean we should go see it. Isn't there a movie out now with guns and stuff getting blown up?

 

I don't know what other movies are out right now.
My scope is kind of limited.

 

Why don't we just settle on Mama Mia!, or just rent Hairspray?

 

They are showing Little House on the Pairie and Dr Quinn Medicine woman, they brought these two shows back on Rogers basic cable.

 

We have Hairspray on DVD. John Travolta and Christopher Walken are hilarious!
We did not get a chance to see Mama Mia! yet.

Us men of the ward, who have spoken thusfar, do not have cable.

 

Meh, there's nothing on cable that I'm really interested in, anyhow, other than History, NatGeo, Discovery and AP.

If/when they one day allow you to choose what channels you want a la cart, then I'll be interested. I just cannot justify spending upwards of $70 a month for so many useless channels.

Take for instance VH1 Classic. Sorry, didn't much care for Winger back in the day, and I can't say I'm much interested in what they're doing now. Same thing goes for Warrant, Ratt, et al.

PBS FTW!

 

Especially now in digital format, I get 4 PBS channels. 8 if you count the ion channels.
I watched MASH the other night!

 

They still show M*A*S*H* on channel 23 out here, which is known as ion. They used to show reruns of The Wonder Years, too.

I am so happy today. I asked at my job if they would be willing to give me the week after Christmas off so I could go and visit my family and they said yes!!! YAY!! That is not only good because I will get to see my family but it also means they are planning on keeping me and they were so happy I was planning on staying so YAY all around.
