Amph The Great Franchise Combo Thread

Welcome to this new thread where we get two major-franchises (that aren't now connected even if they were at some time) and put them together and make a shared universe. Also we have to go though and find contradictions and fixed them and we only have one week to do so till we get the next two franchises we will be doing this to.

And just to say every week we get one of jail free card to delete one work from canon that just can not work.

For this first week we are taking two franchises that were once in one canon but separated by newer works. Its the Alien and Predator franchises!

Remember we only have one week before the next two franchise are put up so get to work and remember this is a game not a verses thread.

 

Okay.... now what.

 

What about if in pre-history, the Predators used to work with human allies to help train their young by fighting specially brooded aliens. When modern day adventurers inadvertently discover and reactivate the temple, the cycle starts again. Only this time, their bumbling sabotages the Predators, who must still persevere and forge an alliance with the truly honorable among them.

 

Okay I will start by making a rough timeline (I really do not know how to start).

Well, the Predators needn't have known about that, so I don't see why it's particularly relevant. It's just true and unrelated.

Also, though, I am sure you noticed that was just a quick summary of the original AVP movie. So what else are we doing exactly, since it's already been done?

 

Well with Predators (2010) and Prometheus (2012) the AVP series got messed up quite a bit.

 

i think danny glover should get eaten by an alien. and maybe sigourney weaver is running from a predator and then she gets hit by a bus.

I am thinking that maybe the Predators found a third ship of the engineers and used the xenomorphs for sport.

 

Sorry for the double post. We have one last continuity error that I can find. In AVP (2004) Weyland Industries was founded in 1975 and in Prometheus it was found in 2015 and by a different person. Someone want to take this?

I already have a perfectly good retcon I came up with but was wanting to see if someone else could come p with something better.

 

Was it his dad now? I bet it was his dad now.

 

The most likely explanation is a merger and re-branding. One refers to the first corporation to go by the name "Weyland Industries" while the second refers to the modern/famous iteration of the company, helmed by the man that led the buyout of the first.

 

A space bus?

 

My personal theory is that Charles Bishop Weyland is the founder of Weyland Industries and is the father of Peter Weyland. After his death in 2004 the company started to tumble and when the recession in 2008 came the company crashed and burned. The Peter Weyland decided to restart the company in 2015 to follow in his father's footsteps and go far beyond them also.

So pretty much your guys ideas.

And also if no-one has any more contradictions we are done and now can wait till Monday when the next two franchises come out.

Charlton Heston was actually a war-mongering predator that worshipped weaponry and was bent on killing everyone that was different.

Dunno about the crossover, though.

 

So the NRA was founded by Predators with their ultimate goal of hunting Xenomorphs being utterly forgotten? I could see that.
