Jabba announced the racers at the Boonta Eve Classic on Tatooine.

 

'Tatooine' required nine different filming locations, 7 in Africa and two in the USA.

 

Tatooine is a big ball of sand and rock. If there's a bright centre to the universe it's the planet that's farthest from.

 

Tatooine's space ports are known to be retched hives of scum and villany. (spelling?)

"Tusken raiders" or sandpeople live on Tatooine and ride Banthas.

On Tatooine, Obi-Wan tells Luke that Owen was afraid Luke would follow Obi-Wan on some damn fool idealistic crusade like his father.

 

Owen, Lukes uncle, and Beru, Lukes Aunt, get vapourised by stormtroopers.

 

Princess Leia is shot by a stormtrooper on Endor.

 

Princess Leia is shot by a stormtrooper in "A New Hope", the stormtrooper rifle was set for stun, and she was ok.

 

"A New Hope" was the first Star Wars movie made, which was known simply as "Star Wars" back then.

 

Er, um...

A New Hope featured no Ewoks, but many Jawas.

 

Jawas were played by little actors...

 

Jawas picked up R2-D2 then C-3PO after they crashed landed on Taooine, they sold them to Owen, Lukes Uncle

 

C-3PO was built by Anakin Skywalker.

 

Anakin Skywalker leaves C-3PO with his mother Shmi when he goes of to become a jedi

 

There are 12 members on the Jedi Council!

 

Yoda is a member of the Jedi Council.

 

as is mace windu

 

so is yaddle

 

Yaddle is a female of the same species as Yoda.

 

Yoda is 900years old in the Return of the Jedi and dies in his bed. Before he dies he tells Luke he will not look as good at 900years of age.

 

Yoda was right. Luke doesn't look particularly good at fifty years of age.
