I wasn't exactly away, just not logging in and being active. I couldn't do without my dose of JC fanfic :p

So are you a Leafs fan then Mike? I used to be crazy about hockey and stay up and watch the games, but they are not transmitted here anymore so I've completely lost touch.

I used to be a huge fan but the years and years of disappointment has been eating me up from the inside. So I would say no...

That's sad to hear Mike. Can understand it though. We did the pilgrimage to the old Maple Leaf Gardens only to watch the Leafs get beaten 3:0. Still, it was interesting to see how quiet the crowd is - was like being at church. I'm used to hearing people yelling, whistling and insulting the opposition and officials :p

I have been to dozens and dozens of games there in my life and several games at the Air
    Canada centre...

Definitely something to put on our list of things to do when we visit Toronto, plus the obligatory visit to Wayne Gretzy's restaurant - really nice perogies ;)

I'd like to go see more of Canada so I'm gonna attempt to save up and visit several places - maybe drag the husband around so he can carry all the shopping and luggage ;)

    Welcome, go-away!

No, wait...I don't mean go away, I just wanted to tell our new visitor go-away, welcome.

No! I mean, not that I'm telling our new visitor to go away, but that...

    Ah, I give up. :p

So far, quite a few of us are planning to save up for Celebration III. We haven't discussed going over the border into Canada yet, but I'll throw it in sometime.

I'm so glad it's spring :D I woke up to a bird singing this morning. First thought that entered my head was "It won't last long, somebody's cat will have it" :p

    as of yet...

Ok, I'm totally ignorant, but whereabouts in Canada is Victoria? [face_blush]

No flowers yet  But it's nearly May. When do they start appearing?

Vancouver and Victoria have much milder winters than the rest of Canada thus spring
starts much earlier. While the temperatures in the summer months are in the hi 20s/ lo 30s in Ontario, BC has mid 20s temperatures right through the summer season...

I'm in the office learning about how things are done. I've been wanting a change for some time now and my agent is retiring next year so I'm gonna be taking over from him. It's strange being in an office environment. I don't like that side of it to be honest - it's stressful even when there is little work.

Finally managed to crawl in the door :p

Are you still feeling tired? Sometimes days can be like that.

I think people on here come out when I've gone to bed :(

Some of us actually do participate in casual or mundane conversations between only a few people, except we generally do that though MSN/Instant Messenger. You'll find our locals generally only come into the Bar and Grill when there's interesting discussion or merriment happening in here that anyone can take part in. ;)

It's not that we're not around, it's just that I don't think anyone wants to interrupt what appears to have evolved into a private conversation over the last page.

    Ah, Canadian politeness :)

I can't always use MSN, etc at work which is a pain :(

I know what you mean though about two people in a thread. Hmm, the more the merrier definitely applies. I like to chat to several people at once in a thread - I never used to bother with social threads until I joined up here.

Rani I am sorry if we appeared to be having an intense conversation, besides most of it was about spring and Vancouver.
