Ahhh....so this was the reason as to why I l...

 

We had much higher inflation rates during 2000/01 (averaging about 6%), most likely because of the GST.

However, at the moment, it seems that we have a fairly low rate at 3%.

At this point I would like to praise the current Government's outstanding job in keeping down interest rates.

 

And from what source did those figures come from?

 

The Reserve Bank of Australia.

 

Did you cross reference that with other sources?

 

There was no need. The RBA is a primary source for Australian economic data.

 

They have been known to fudge figures before, how are you gonna know they didn't fudge those unless you cross reference them?

 

I can get you a detailed analysis on how they obtained their figures if you'd like.

What makes you think that an industry body would be more accurate in determining interest rates and inflation rates than a government body? If you do not think that than why bother cross referencing RBA data?

 

What makes me think that? Selfish human interest is what makes me think that. Are you so innocent in the way's of the world that you would never consider that someone who got too greedy decided to fudge the figures to hide his or her own gain. The only way you can suspect such a thing is to cross reference the information from an independent source. Dude you are never going to run any business of mine with that attitude. That is economic suicide and I would have thought that you would know better.
