The Gulf In Class

    Why is there such a gulf in class between the jedi of the prequal era? For example

    Assaj Ventress fights off four jedi at once (easily as well) but she is no match what so ever for Dooku ect

    Quinlan Vos is a positive dark jedi wrecking ball
    his most high profile victim was Sora Bulq ( a legendary lightsaber duelist & co inventor of Vaapaad)
    but Quinlan gets owned by Agen Kolar who in turn is cut down in seconds by Palpatine.

    Why is there such a gulf in class it doesn?t exist in the New Jedi order or the ancient Jedi order for that matter. It seems that even the best jedi are completely outclassed against the elite aka Palpatine, Anakin, Dooku, Mace, Yoda & Kenobi. What is the reason for this? Is it knowledge or is it down to raw power (aka midiclorian counts) that makes a jedi average or great?
