I spent all day at Bingamin's, in Kitchener. I put sunscreen on, but I guess it wore off by the end of the day, I've got a bit of a rosy hue on my shoulders and my arms.... well, I guess I have to get a bit of colour sometime, I was the palest person there.

Surpisingly, I still have a bit of a burn in a few places. My arms are back to normal, but that's it. At least it doesn't hurt.

well, I was putting on some aloe-witch hazel stuff I have. Works pretty good, and doesn't smell too bad. Organic, too. Now I just have a slight tan where I had a slight burn before. And I mean a slight tan, only noticable to me.

I've been driving everyone around me insane listening to the Harry Potter audio books, and comparing the American and British versions.

other than changing some words (football to soccer, chips to french fries, etc) there are only minor differences here and there. Though the American one DOES mention that Dean Thomas is black.

Yeah race never came into the British version, don't see why someone's race was important to mention but hey each to their own right?

it seems to me that, other than the Slytherins making fun of Angelina's hairstyle, there isn't really any racism in Harry Potter. It's more Pure Bloods vs. Muggles, or wizards vs non-humans. Umbridge's treatment of the Centaurs is a good example of this.

In Star Wars, the racism is Humans and non-humans.

I wish real life could mirror the fantasy world sometimes.

I just finished this awesome skirt.... it's patterned like a nebula, black and purple, with white stars. I got some fabric paint, and put a bead of glow-in-the-dark paint on each star, and sparkles in the starry parts. And the waistband/tie is crushed velvet. It's the first part in my costume for when I go to see Harry Potter.

very nice banner :) the leaves are all just starting to change here its very pretty, never as nice as fall in ontario though, we just don't have the tree variety so we don't get the really pretty coloures, no orange and not much red, just mainly yellow :)

I'm actually trying to get some people together in Londn for the DVD release, but haven't gotten much response.

For halloween, I'm dressing up as a Shinigami, from the anime Bleach, minus the sword. I already have the costume more than half finished. Good thing too, my CGIT hallowe'en party is next Tuesday.
