I had already pre-ordered 2 at WH Smith, so that was 6 quid (3 quid deposit each). Would still be cheaper to go asda, but i would feel like my 6 quid was wasted. I think they cost 11 quid each total.

I ain't reading it until I finish with the current book series I'm reading and re-read the first six because I haven't read them in years; the latter shouldn't take that long because even though the latter volumes have a lot of pages, there are a lot less words-per-page than the average "adult" book of similar page count.

Told you Snape was the man, what a legend. *salutes*

Also if we were going to get a cheesey 19 years later ending, I wish we woulda known how people like Luna & George were doing

Also I see JK becoming a serial gambler now that she has nothing to do in her life & waste all her money, which means in 10 years we will get spin off series with all the new Kids. you know you want it.

    I've spent the weekend reading.

    Finished it.

Not sure what to make of it. In parts brilliant, in others... perhaps not.

Ok. I'm finally out of my Harry Potter hole. Two words: Loved it.

For obvious reasons, I won't talk about the specifics, but I just wanted to pipe up and say that I won't be one of those readers who worry about what might have been or any of that. It turned out just a tad bit differently than I thought it would, but it followed along very closely, nonetheless. There are those who might want to quibble about her skill as a writer and such nonsense, but I have to take my hat off to her. She's a superb storyteller! As I read over the last day or so--stealing every spare moment that I could--I felt like a child sitting around in fireplace-warmed living room in the dead of winter, being told the most fabulous story by my grandfather.

So, as I said, Loved it!
