    I do! :D

    :p

I'm thinking Sunday the 9th of Feb.
I usually hike Peralta Trail to the part where you can view Weavers Needle and climb the rocks that are right there. Lot's of fun and not to dangerous (The rock climbing I mean). I usually go for 2 to 4 hours. It all depends on how much bouldering I/we do.

And yes, we can take rest breaks for all those that are about to collapse. I only needed 3 breaks when I was smoking.

    All you need is

Water. preferably more than a 20oz bottle. I have a camelpack that holds 100oz but I drink ALOT of water. I have a friend that has a 70oz bottle and he only drinks hlaf of it.
Sunblock SPF 15 should do. I have some if you don't already have some. no need to buy more unless you need it anyway.
Decent shoes. Crosstrainers usually do quite well.
    Energy!
And maybe a light snack like an energy bar to reward yourself for a job well done. ;)

It not to grueling but it is consistantly uphill with some flat or small downhill parts. I think it's a lot easier than the either side of Camelback. Going back is easy though.

Hicking is a great workout and really builds those legs.

"Hicking is a great workout and really builds those legs."

Is 'hicking' the act of giving someone a hickey? Because that is fun, but it doesn't work the legs much. ;)

Darn, I'm jealous. The Peralta trail is an awesome hike and I wish I could come, but the new knee isn't ready for prime time just yet. The view at the top is incredibly rewarding, those who decide to go will not be disappointed. Also, as far as stuff to bring on this hike, may I suggest a camera. ;)

Ok so we all can't go hicking, but maybe some hiking! :p

So here is what I'm thinking. We can meet at 10:00a outside of Dilards at Superstition Mall and go from there. Parking is $4 so we can carpool there from the mall.

I'll be there so look for my Red Toyota pickup. I hope to se some of you there.

I'd go Sat. but alas, I have to work.

Well since i rained thisweek I'm betting that it's all muddy up there.

Also, I'm not feeling to good this week. I think I got some stomach bug. I'm having to bow out but I'll swing by the mall to say sorry in case anyone is there.

Anyone who wants to go it's down the 60 close to where the Ren Fair is.
Go down the 60 past where the freeway ends.
As you go down you'll see a Basha's. You'll know your on the right coarse.
After that, to the right, you will see a sign that says Peralta trailhead left.
    Make your next left.
Go down the dirt road for a while. sooner or later you'll find a small parking lot. That's the start.

    Have fun! :D

    $$

I like the TiVo concept. But the "Subscription" is WAY too much considering TiVo devices cost hundreds of dollars allready. I also read that Tivo is trying to get rid of the lifetime subscrpition for the more profitable monthly charges.

EKK. I'll stick w/ my fast and free forward button.

Did anyone make it to the hike? My outcry was one of frustration, because when I looked in on this topic I discovered that the intended time for the hike had already come and gone. Would someone mind PMing me to remind me when a hike is coming up, I would really like to do this.

I don't think anyone went. We went by, but no one was in the parking lot.

I know that as soon as the warmer weather approaches, I'll be wanting to go almost every weekend.

We shall keep this thread alive! :D

I did stop by Dillards to give my apologies but I didn't see anyone. Granted I was 10 min late.

If someone did show and I missed them, I am very sorry. :(
