What? I thought any time someone puts it on, it creates a sonar homing beacon thing that makes it easy to track? Wasn't that the whole deal with those Ghost Rider weirdos or whatever? Why would you need intelligence on it when he was constantly using it across several years? For that matter, how didn't they home in on him in all the 50 years or whatever until Gandalf figured out what it actually was?

I know, but they could move around the timeline to show it in one of the Hobbit movies. Wouldn't be the first time. And they honestly have to do something more in Part 3, since Part 2 will likely see both the defeat the Necromancer and the defeat of Smaug.

 

Is it for certain that the Battle of the 5 Armies will be in Part 2?

 

No that's probably in Part 3, but it can't be all that's in Part 3 to justify a 3-hour movie.

Smaug dies in Part 2, and the Necromancer has to be defeated in order for Gandalf to make it to the Lonely Mountain in time for the Battle of Five Armies.

 

Unless they replace Gandalf for the Battle of the Five Armies and have the Battle of Dol Guldar in Part 3, cause don't know if the subplot will be in Part 2 since there will so much to do with Bilbo for that movie

 

Hmm. I have no idea how they'll do it. Probably go EE on the battle or show every single Dwarf going home or something?

It's not turning up in a quick search, and since its 1am I should be going to bed soon. But someone else here probably remembers that picture of Gloin, I think it might even be posted earlier in this thread. There was some debate if it was baby Gimli or perhaps Gloin's wife. But it was definitely Gloin in the spider webs, with some hand holding up a drawn portrait of Gloin's, showing a young Dwarf without a beard. And we know now that Legolas is the one who rescues the Dwarves, not Bilbo (though I guess Bilbo did prove he had it in him when he killed that Orc at the end of Part 1 instead).

Are you referring to the film continuity or the books? Because in the books Deagol and Smeagol were Stoors, and FOTR says that Stoors are one of the three "breeds" of Hobbits.

I wanna know where the Uruk-Hai got the concept of a menu from.

There's gotta be a deleted scene of Saruman taking them out to a nice restaurant and explaining what a menu is. There's got to be.

 

Well atleast the good stuff of the Hobbit will all happen in part 2 then. So hopefully it won't feel so decompressed. Not to mention that with the aspect ratio and Jackson love of showing scenes of the moutains and lands, which take about 20 seconds or so a pop, it should be make the 3 hour mark about right.

No idea how he'll make the 3rd one a 3 hour epic though. Maybe he'll knock some time off.

 

The third one is Three hours of Jackson furiously masturbating while rolling around in piles of cash, giggling like a mad man.
