    They were?

Edit: Lol, apparently they go back and forth throughout the movies. Don't remember them ever being blue though.

Yeah, they forgot to give him the contacts from time to time, but in most of the close-ups they're there.

    This.
I dunno why anyone is complaining about "too long". Well, maybe because I'm that guy who's watched the entire LOTR extended trilogy in one day. Three times!
I would gladly watch a 30 hour version of the Lord of the Rings and a 10 hour version of The Hobbit. There can NEVER be too much Middle Earth!

So I have a rather strong suspicion that this is actually going to be the last shot of TDOS, showing all of the armies descending on Erebor in order to have the epic Bo5A in the third movie.

A pretty clear screen cap of Smaug from his millisecond appearance in the trailer.

Comparison of scenes that were in the first and reappear in the second trailer. Weta's done some work on them...

This scene brought me back to LOTR style, loved it, and the orcs look like men in suit like in LOTR orcs/Uruks and not CGI

So you can't tell if they're CGI? That would imply that even if it is CGI, it's good CGI.

If the third movie is all Bo5A, that probably means except for the 45 minute journey home, with four or five consecutive increasingly groan-inducing endings to the movie.

Anyone who complains about something being made in cgi is incredibly uneducated.

Anyone who complains about something being rushed/poorly done cgi has a right to complain. (but the same applies to poorly done practical effects so if one is bad then the other is likely also going to be bad for that film)

The only groan- inducing ending in ROTK was the fade to black at Mount Doom. All of the others were just fine.

But can you imagine the uproar if PJ actually had included the Scouring in ROTK?

The movie would've been 458 minutes long!

I remember people started laughing when Denethor burst into flames.
