Sadly I have none, as my parents bought none because we were going down to my sister's for the night.

I usually get my first hankering for Christmas music in mid-October. I then listen like once or twice and put it away again until mid November. After Thanksgiving my dad listens to nothing but Christmas music until after Christmas. That can be a bit challenging...

[face_laugh] I [face_love] Christmas music/movies. Can't wait for December!!! However, I've got exams the 18th-21, so studying might cut into movie watching time :( I'll have to tape it.

Is it ABC Family that does the Christmas movies every night of December (US)? I got that channel this year, so I'm hoping so.

I think so. I mostly just watch a few classic DVDs I have. The cartoon Grinch. It's A Wonderful Life. That sort of thing.

I plan on celebrating them with my family again, instead of alone, like last year.

Anyone seen The Prestige movie? It was fantastic. I didn't recognise David Bowie! Caton's Cutter was a good support. Pity the book is meh.

It's an American movie, how can you not know it? Movies and holovid shows always come out in America long before Aust deigns to get them. You sure?

Movies rarely get the same amount of billing. Some get more than others. So unless you watch a LOT of television or actively seek out new films that are going to be released, it's easy to miss all but the most heavily advertised ones.

Well I lived in Germany for 14 months. Did it come out recently?

Yeah, a month or so ago, maybe. Wasn't overly-heavily advertised. Didn't look very good, IMO.

I thought it looked very cool. I want to see it, but I rarely go to the movies these days.

That's one movie you shouldn't give a miss, and I never say such things about movies.

It's about two stage last-century eng stage magicians competing for the best performance. When one causes the death of the other's wife, the rivalry takes a deadly edge. The race to garner the best act and acclaim consumes their entire lives, and prices must be paid.

The best thing is the intrigue. It lasts the entire movie, keeping you guessing. You literally find out in the last minutes, and then the revelation hits you, all the clues movie long right in your face. Of course, the period setting enhances the augur ambience, and even the supporting cast is solid.

They don't make things like this. Perhaps once in two years.

I'm still bummed that the Chiefs lost :_|

Not that I'm surprised but still.... you've got to cheer for the home team. Right? :p

Portland does not have a home team for football or baseball. And my hatred of the Jailblazers makes it complete... I never cheer for the home team. ;)
