There were thousands of people trying to buy tickets at the same time, so the server was a bit slow. It never crashed, just took some time. Also, you have to buy each ticket individually. There's no virtual basket to put everything in and check out at once.

The Saturday tickets are already 88% sold out.

Thurs - Sat tickets are $35 each and Sun are $20.

    Have you heard????

LOS ANGELES ? "Captain EO" is moonwalking back to Disneyland.

The theme park announced plans Friday to bring back the 3-D sci-fi film starring Michael Jackson next February, over 23 years after the attraction debuted in Anaheim, Calif. The 17-minute film starred the late King of Pop as a singing-and-dancing intergalactic commander. It was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and executive produced by George Lucas.

In the film, Jackson leads a goofy alien and robot crew as they battle a wicked queen played by Anjelica Huston. "Captain EO" originally opened in Disneyland's Tommorrowland in 1986 and ran for more than a decade. Identical versions later opened at other Disney theme parks. They were all closed by 1998.

I'm actually very excited by this!!!!! :D I loved that show!!! Now bring back the People Mover, Disneyland!!!!!!

Hey, as long as they don't take out Star Tours, sounds good to me. And bring back the Skybaskets, too! That was awesome, going through the Matterhorn!

Hurray for Captain EO! Let the cheese factor begin!

Sorry to tell you this Carrie, but they'll be closing down Star Tours for refurbishing next year. They've already done the filming for it. One of Hazard Squadron (the x-wing costuming group) is in it. I don't remember how long the ride will be down, but they are bringing it back.

Did anyone watch any of the Golden Globes last night?
I only watched bits and pieces.
Best part of the night: Robert Downey Jr.'s speech.
    Best speech ever. [face_laugh]

Nikol, I saw that people near the burn areas in Acton are being evacuated this morning. You're not one of them, are you??

Yes I watched the whole Golden Globes. Yes, Downy's speech was great. Loved Sandra Bullocks speech too. Gervaise was really funny, even at the expense of Mel Gibson.

We had some falling for a while out here. We got about an inch of slushy snow before it stopped snowing and the cold rain came back. We'll see what it does overnight.

Sorry, I did not reply sooner.
Ronnie and I were at my mom's yesterday and we drove back last night from
San Marcos, which is next to Escondido. We stuck to the 15 and 210, so we were good.
Luckily, we did not get stuck and traffic was not bad.
There's snow in the mountains behind our house, but it's all wet down here.
We have not had to be evacuated, we're far enough away. :D

Anybody know who is in charge of our IEFF Facebook page, as in who updates it? If someone could be so kind as to let me know and / or please put my name on the list of officers showing on the bottom left of the page. Thanks :)
