    ummmm it works both ways. Not just males can be geeks. I found that article described me very well... especially the part about Sauron, Saruman and the Sarlaac.... I think I spent a few hours trying to explain the difference to a certain someone once.

    And just to let you know, the female geek is much more rare... Just ask any girl who is considered a geek. For example, I went to a electronics/computer school. There was a female population of 3% when I was there, including staff, and it's gone down since then. I didn't really have any female friends there at all.

    Us female geeks sure are rare. Especially those you proclaim their geekiness at the top of their lungs.

    Guys that arn't geeks are never any fun though. I mean, they have such boring interests.

    Here is an interesting statistic.

    At brock there's a 3 to 1 ratio of females to males. When I was in 2nd year (note: that's important because dropouts just keep on going straight through until graduation) my friend and I decided to get a rough idea of the computer science ratio, so we counted in our database class. 0.0375 girls to every 1 guy.

    It is disappointing that there aren't any more "geeky girls". :( It seems to be so much easier getting along with fellow geeks, than trying to impress those "others" who are attracted to "jocks"... ;)

    I just had to give you the dictionary definition of 'geek"...1.A person regarded as foolish, inept, or clumsy.
    2.A person who is single-minded or accomplished in scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be socially inept.
    3.A carnival performer whose show consists of bizarre acts, such as biting the head off a live chicken.

    [face_laugh] Ok I think this thread is talking about definition #2 unless one of you bites heads off of live chickens! :D

    DROIDS!!! DROIDS!!! I FOUND DROIDS!!!

    [image=http://www.carolprice.com/DancingSnoopy.gif]

    I am so freakin happy. This was one of my favorite shows as a child and was the whole reason I got into Star Wars in the first place. I absolutely adored R2 and when I found out there was a movie made about them :p I was an instant fan. I have been now for weeks on a constant search to collect some of my most favorite TV series. I now have nearly three complete and am working on 2 more. Droids is my newest aquisition and has me dancing!!!

    it's a new series. It's based more on the comic book than the campy late 80's/early 90's version. I really like the new one. They are at the "City at War" saga
