Annie Hall was his screen debut and the very first time we see him, he's talking about tturning the steering wheel of a car and driving directly into oncoming traffic, and then fantasizing about the crash impact itself. Whoa.

 

That was the best part of Annie Hall too. I laughed until I cried.

Crispin Glover's character in "Like Mike" was pretty funny, although it doesn't qualify as "crazy" to win.

I'll go with Hopper or Hopkins.
