Does anyone (Bib perhaps) know the name of the imperial officer who brings Luke to Vader on Endor in ROTJ? Is he in the CCG cards?

I know his name! His name is Commander Igar. Yes, he is in the CCG. He is a Rare card. I forgot his stats, though.

Igar is my favorite Imperial. :)

He's the luckiest dude in the whole Empire: He does absolutely nothing, except telling Vader a story (because Luke surrendered) and still gets a "Good work!" from Vader! Hello?

Me too! I liked Igar so much that on my Neopets account, I named a pet after him!

Whenever my friends and I act out Star Wars scene, despite being female, I'm usually Igar.

The only thing I don't know about him is the actor that played him.

Thanks for the replays. Why was Bib banned? He always knows the name of any character, no matter how trivial.
Igar seems like an army guy but isn't "Commander" a navy rank? I've been wondering the same thing about Commander Praji.

I think the writers of the Star Wars scripts applied the title "Commander" pretty liberally. Check out the following instances:

    ANH-
Vader addresses Praji as "Commander" when Praji is really supposed to be a stormtrooper officer.

Admiral Motti calls General Tagge "Commander" during the conference room scene.

Leia addresses General Willard as "Commander" upon her arrival on Yavin.

    ESB-
Might actually be free of the "Commander" phenomenon. Anyone spot any?

    ROTJ-
    Vader calls Moff Jerjerrod "Commander".

Vader calls that AT-AT officer "Commander" when Luke is delivered to him.

Now, one explanation for this could be that when you are a commmanding officer in Star Wars, you can be addressed as a generic "Commander" that does not refer to your actual rank, which, as we saw in the above cases, can be General or Moff.

That seems to make the most sense, at least to me. Otherwise, it's really weird, all these characters who are established in official sources as having other ranks are called "Commander" all the time. Taage, Willard, and Jerjerrod, in particular, seem way too senior to be just the navy rank of "Commander", the navy equivalent of the army's "Lieutenant Colonel", who is usually in charge of a batallion of men, way less than whole Death Stars, rebel bases, and star fleets.

I think Luke was an actual Commander...he was in the rebel navy.

Either that or it was because he commanded Rogue Squadron that he was called "Commander".

"Commander" can be a specified rank, but can also be used simply to describe someone in command of a military unit.

    From dictionary.com:

    com·mand·er
    n.

    1. A person who commands, especially a commanding officer.
2..a. Abbr. CDR A commissioned rank in the U.S. Navy or Coast Guard that is above lieutenant commander and below captain.
....b. One who holds this rank.
....c. The chief commissioned officer of a military unit regardless of his or her rank.
    3. An officer in some knightly or fraternal orders.

    >>He's "Force-Attuned"!! BWahahaha, why?!?!<<

Force-Attunned, at least in the CCG, refers to non-Force users of great skill (represented by a character with Ability 3). This would cover Han, Wedge, etc.

By comparison, a person capable of being trained in the Force (this would be Luke or Leia in ANH, as an example) or is at the apprentice/padawan level (Luke in ESB, Obi-wan in TPM) is described as Force-Sensitive (represented by a character with Abiltiy 4-5).

Ability 6 is Jedi Knight/Dark Jedi, Ability 7 is Jedi Master/Dark Jedi Master. 2 is an average person and 1 are weak-minded or foot soliders like stormtroopers, etc.

Igar was always my favorite Imperial Officer. He got to hold Luke's lightsaber and he recieved kudos from Darth Vader. Something no other officer recieved.

Even though he really didn't do anything.....

I have no idea, but if it were me I would've banned him ages ago for being a know it all nerd. :p

All of the Imperial officers in ROTJ were Commanders! Just look at their rank plaques for proof of that! :D

I wonder why he didn't use his AT-AT...

He was probably too cool to attack the Rebels.

Off-topic, but considering the CCG board is dead, why is Padmé Force-Sensitive in the TPM expansion? Thats' even stronger than Leia in ANH.

"Force sensitive" is just a game mechanic. It doesn't necessarily reflect how the characters were in the films.
