Full Series Mini Series The Inquisitors (Spoilers)

Yeah, but it's still the spinning lightsaber. She's not using the other blade just like sharky Inquisitor isn't.

Looks simply like only one lightsaber is ignited.



We seen it before plenty of times:

 

In the other clip, you can see two blades spinning. Same weapon as season one Inquisitor.

 

She seems to be a lot better with it than he was, though.

 

Of course, Barriss was a Jedi Knight.

 

Or close enough as makes no difference.

...makes me wonder if she's higher-ranked than Quizzy was. Though it seems like the Inquisitors are under Vader directly.

 

Depends if:

a) all these Inquisitors are apart of The Inquisitorius

b) If the rank Grand Inquisitor is canon

If yes to both, then someone of Barris skill is a candidate for Grand Inquisitor.

 

The formula in the EU was (rank), High (rank), Grand (rank) at the top of the scale for various organizations.

Admiral, High Admiral, Grand Admiral
General, High General, Grand General
Inquisitor, High Inquisitor, Grand Inquisitor

Grand General has already appeared in the newcanon (Tagge) - maybe the other ranks will appear as well. Barriss could be a High Inquisitor, reporting to the Grand Inquisitor.

 

Or she is the Grand.

 

It seems like Vader is in charge of them directly, though. So I think that he's got the role of the Grand Inquisitor.

 

That's what I am thinking.

I wonder would Barris know who Anakin is.

 

I would think that she would have to know.

Ahsoka was able to sense him in the Season 2 opener, though granted she was much closer to Anakin than Barris was.

Barris was always shown to be at least as powerful as Ahsoka was from a Force skills and power perspective, and arguably more powerful in some instances (think about what she pulled off in the Wrong Jedi arc). Though i never liked her in TCW she was always portrayed as an impressively powerful Force user. Its been years since we last saw her in TCW. Assuming that she has continued to grow in power over the years, she could be approaching and/or have achieved Jedi Master level power (as Ahsoka probably has as well). I think you have to figure her and Ahsoka's power level at the time of Rebels as close to that of Obi-wan in TCW. While it was never outright stated, TCW seemed to portray Ahsoka and Barris as elite among Padawans. If that is Barris as an inquisitor now she has to be a beast of a Force user.

 

The bond between master and apprentice is strong, and remains strong even after they've parted ways or one has become Sith. Remember Sidious needed Dooku's blood for the Sith ritual to attack Yoda.

 

I'd love to see Vader engage in Sith magick.

 

Or have him speak ancient Sith.

 

Plus, of course...

 

IDK if Barris would know that Vader is Anakin. Part of me would hope so, just because it'd give an interesting new context to their dynamic, given that the last time they saw each other onscreen, he force-choked her. BTW, she was able to duel Anakin Skywalker one on one and last for a pretty good while. That's impressive in and of itself.

 

Although if they were not at the temple she would have probably died.

 

Vader speaking ancient Sith would be awesome. Vader's connection to the ancient Sith was often ignored in Legends.

 

I wonder if we not going to see anymore of the spinning lightsaber trick, because of the design flaw that Kanan figured out.

 

Pretty sure the Female's saber was spinning in the trailer.

 

I wonder how skilled these new inquisitors are? The Pau'an Inquisitor from Season 1 seemed (as Antoine Bandele stated in his Ahsoka vs Inquisitor video) capable of dueling high-level Padawans/low-level Knights but not anyone more capable than that. If the Inquisitor, for instance, fought Ben Kenobi, I think he would lose because even though Ben is well past his prime, he has much more experience and knowledge of the force.
I would think these new inquisitors are perhaps a little better than the Pau'an Inquisitor...maybe.

 

If its Barris then pretty skilled.

 

I expect the new inquisitors to pose a greater threat to the Ghost crew and the rebels in general. I don't expect any of the primary characters to die at their hands, but they will likely take some losses.
