I?ve had the idea for this board for a while now and have finally decided to do it. There has been no place on the Resource boards for Jacen/Tahiri shippers to come and talk about this couple. Below is the link to the old Index/Resource thread for Jahiri.

These characters have been two of my favorites for a long time. I love seeing the relationship grow from friendship into romance and to see what twists and turns you can throw in their way to see how they will react. They are a great couple and are fun to write together as Jahiri readers and writers already know.

As the thread gets more popular challenges will start. If you have an idea for a challenge please PM the Jahiri_Index sock or JediMasterArmada.

Please note that this thread is to promote Jahiri and to encourage more people to write this ?ship. So please don?t bash any other ?ships for these characters on the board.

The First Challenge is up. And I just thought of a discussion topic.

Given the events of Inferno, do you see a possibility for Jacen and Tahiri to get involved in the books? Also, do you think that Tahiri will become Jacen's Sith Apprentice?

 

I don't see Tahiri becoming his apprentice, I do see him continuing to use her, and Tahiri getting in killed on some stupid mission or assignment of his. I don't think they will become romantically involved though.

 

There's no telling what Riina Kwaad will be willing to do for Jacen.

Yes, Riina Kwaad will be Jacen's apprentice.
as for romantically involvements, I'd say given time, yes.
right now? give it a couple of in universe years. 2 to 3, maybe.

 

I don't think that we need to highlight Inferno spoilers any more, Star_Writer. If I remember correctly, that rule only applies for a month after the release of a new novel and it has been over a month since Inferno was released.

I agree with you on the count that Jacen will continue to use her. However, I don't think that she will be killed on a mission. I sorta see Jacen warping her mind over time and turning her into a weapon, I think that he'd use her still unresolveed grief over Anakin's death -which I find rather annoying since they sorta portrayed her as being almost over Anakin in the Final Prophecy- to turn her to the dark side. I can actually see Jacen getting together with her for no other reason than to get back at Tenel Ka through whatever means necessary.

According to Force Heretic III Riina and Tahiri are one. She has two sets of memories so I still think that she is the Tahiri we know and love. You can see the Tahiri side in how she was manipulated by Jacen in both the DN trilogy and Inferno. Though the second time, Jacen went lower than he ever had before in my opinion. She's still Tahiri, just with a hint of Yuuzhan Vong if you get her mad.

I think that your idea for a time frame is right. They'd develop feelings for each other slowly. . . though I think having a relationship with his apprentice would give Tahiri the position she needs to kill him and take his mantel. Which would probably be going through her head constantly is she becomes a Sith.

Just thought I'd pop in here and say hello! I'm not much of a Jahiri fan...though I think it's interesting and I'll read it. A/T is my favorite, but I'm glad you guys got an index!

About the discussion up there about Jacen, Tahiri and LOTF...I honestly can't add anything to it because i've resisted reading the books. However, I will say this. Tahiri is two years younger than Anakin is/was. Jacen is three (?) years older than Anakin is/was. So that would make Tahiri around 28 by my count. But math isn't really my thing I see your point, Armada, about her, and I agree. She is still our Tahiri...and i think the vong only comes out when she's mad or suprised...which I think is coolness.

Thanks, Irish. I think you're about right on the age, and since I haven't seen a solid birth date established in cannon (it could be there but I haven't seen it) I'll go with the age. I think she's about 28-31 in LOTF. I wonder which one she'll be feeling when she figured out that Jacen's manipulating her. . . My money's on anger.
