Can the Jania fans here explain something to me?

Jania was born 9 years after A New Hope.
Kyp was born 7 years before.

Now given the dating system used by timetales thats about a 17 year age difference.

So who wants them to be a couple?

 

When people are adults, ie: assuming that 18 is considered an adult in the GFFA, age ceases to matter so much when it comes to love. If I fell in love right now with someone who was much older than me what would ultimately matter would be two things: "Do I love him?" and "Is he a catholic?" (for the grandparents ) This is all because I'm 20 and I'm an adult. I don't think a 14 year old should go and marry a 30 year old or older. There's a difference.

As for Kyp and Jaina, I'm not too sure the match works out. That is to say that it works a lot better in fanfic than it possibly could in the actual NJO. It'll never happen, or if it did I'd be very surprised because Jag does seem to be a better match than Kyp for Jaina. Not to say he's the best there could be, but that character hasn't been introduced yet!

Yeah I'm sure Han would be real enthusiastic about this. "Yeah great he's a lying scheming planet murdering SOB but since you're all darksideish now sounds like a match made in heaven to me, or possibly hell"

So shes of age, she can date a 35 year old if she wants, but we have words for that around here and craddle robbing would probably be the most generous.

 

I'm glad you have an opinion on the matter and all farraday but could you maybe not be a little more eloquent in the way you express it? NarundiJedi did you that courtesy.

 

When I was 18, I had a 35 year old guy hit on me, and after all the derogitive things I had said on the Kyp/Jaina 'affair', I found myself flirting right back. So in my opinion, there isn't, nor ever will be, anything between Kyp and Jaina besides apprenticing and innocent flirtation.

 

Well, I predict that we'll be in Jania Solo Fan Club 2.0 by this time next week.

Han and Leia were 12 years apart. Jessica Alba is marrying someone with a similar age gap. Catherine Zeta Jones married someone 25 years older. If they are happy, who cares?

depends on which official source you credit Leia's age. Some say she was 18 and him 29-30, others say she is 20. And remember, Han saw her on Alderaan, so the moan at Kyp how he "knew her when she was in nappies" works both ways

 

I like the Kyp/Jaina apprentice arc, but don't want to see them become lovers.This isn't because of age difference. Merely because I like Jag and because Kyp should totally be with Danni.

BTW, judging by what I've seen in real life, people wouldn't complain nearly as much if it was a younger male and older female hooking up.
