Which parent is Jaina more like? And how big of an effect do you think Leia and Han not being around made on Jaina's future choices?

 

I think Jaina is much more like her father in an overall sense. Everything from flying to tinkering, pure unadulterated Han.

But when you get down to the drive and the fire which is behind her character that's pure Leia.



as for the second half of your question, I think her parent's not being around did not really have that big of an effect on her choices. I think the choices she was given and choice were affected by the Vong invasion much, much more than by Leia not being around. Though I do believe that she would have joined Starfighter Command regardless...

 

She's got Han's hands and Leia's heart... at first.

 

*laughs* Jaina is like Han in a woman's body.
Yeah, she's more like her dad. But she's got her mom's awesome looks to make up for it.

Jaina's interests are more like Han's. She has Han's impatiance and personality. She perfers actions to words. And of course, flying.

She is a lot like Leia though, underneath. She throws herself into her work and wants to fight for the good of the galaxy, like her mother. This was illustrated in the Dark Nest trilogy. She just wanted to help and the hive took over her. Her anger is similar to her mother's, also.

With parents as famous as Han and Leia, there is a lot of pressure. She has an imagine to uphold. The beings of the galaxy expect great things from Jaina and her brothers. Jaina needs a cause to throw herself into, like Leia. The war with the Vong was like a Rebellion. The Dark Nest was a fight for another groups rights, much like many of the battles Han and Leia fought.

I'd say Jaina is an equal mix of her parents and has a future much like theirs.

 

I agree FelsGoddess. Jaina's got a lot of characteristics from both parents, quite the mixture, eh?

I think she does tend to lean a bit more to Han, however. She's inheritied his ability and love for flying, tinkering, his implulsive-ness, quick temper, sarcastic remarks, the whole works.

As was mentioned by FelsGoddess, she really does try and work for the good of the galaxy and its people- like her mother.
